I am going back to work Monday and Tuesday, having dinner with my friend Nigel on Wednesday, meeting with a financial planner on Thursday evening (I met him through Ivan the terrible, but he's well-known in this community and I need help), and I am going to a party with a man I know on Friday, after I take my daughter back to UCLA for yet another medical appointment. Then I am working through the weekend.
It's so much easier to grieve when you are productive.
I am finishing up day 8, and I still feel like shit.
A mid-level boss at my work has been "jokingly" asking me to set her up with Ivan when I am done with him (routinely, for the last year!). She has even asked me if he is good in bed! I can't even tell her I have cut things off, because I don't want to be harassed about it. I can't believe how predatory some women are. :(
Personally I wouldn't tolerate such comments. Would it be possible to talk to your HR about this incident?
It's not a single incident. She's been doing this EVERY time I see her for a year. I laughed at first, because things were good between me and Ivan back then, but I haven't been laughing for the last few months. Even if I never speak to Ivan again, I damn sure don't want to give him to anyone I know. He is perfectly capable of finding his own women, and I guess I never learned to share well.
I mentioned it to my immediate boss last night at our holiday party after that woman asked if I was done with HER boyfriend yet. (I told her that if I ever wanted to get even with her for some reason, I would give her his number.) My boss was shocked. Maybe she will say something.
It's such a weird position to be in.
i kinda feel bad for her. she sounds REALLY desperate.
