And not one of those little pussies did a single fuccking thing. If even a single person had a handgun on them that guy would have had a hole in his chest
Nah, someone with a gun just would have shot another passenger by mistake.
Not a qualified person who has trained with a handgun and shot plenty of times. The day I turn 21 I'm buying probably 2 handguns, a desert eagle for sure, and will get my carry permit and have it on my at all times. Although I agree that most of the population sucks at these things, you can tell how clueless people are as to their physical surroundings anytime you drive
what are we gonna do about these crazy canadians?Quote:

PG County police were alerted by a post office of a package containing drugs. They staked out the package's destination and waited for it to be received, then stormed the house. The owner of the house had two black labs. The police shot both, instantly killing one. The second dog, wounded, ran into the kitchen. It was chased by a police officer who then shot the dog from behind, killing it. To top it all off, this wasn't some shack on the wrong side of town. It was the home of the town mayor. They never even paused to think there could have been some kind of mix-up. They treated their own mayor like a drug dealer.
How hard would it be for me to stuff weed into a box and mail it to a professor who gave me a bad grade?
Yeah, cause that's what we need.Quote:

omg that is so horrible i can't even bear to read the article.
those stories aggravate my hatred immensely.
Why the hell do you want a Desert Eagle? Are your balls really so tiny?Quote:

So that's what it was. I turned up the CBC news this am expecting to hear about the big landslide nr. Whistler (there was a big one FYI) & started to hear about some killing on Hwy 1. I turned it off so my son didn't have to listen.Quote:

DM, I completely agree w/you about it being sad that 37 ppl did nothing. Mbe it was too late to prevent the stabbing, but he cut off someone's head?? What the hell were these ppl doing while that was going on? :P
I suppose in this case its too bad that Tasers are banned in Canada.
Narcotics officers, along with officials from the BATF, are notorious for being the biggest bunch of assholes in all of law enforcement. Sadly this doesn't surprise me, I have far lower standards for the DEA, narcs and BATF officials than normal law enforcement. I've heard stories on the chemistry forum I go to of the ATF ruthlessly harassing people in their homes and destroying their property because they thought explosives were being made or the DEA doing the same because they thought drugs were being made, and their knowledge of chemistry is grossly inadequate to even make such accusationsQuote:

Secondly I've heard of BATF officials checking up on firearms dealers and manhandling valuable collectors items (guns) and damaging them, and when the dealer complains they say "We're the ATF, we can do this"
Third, the cops in that case should be killed or had their lives made a living hell through continual secretive harassment in which there are tons of ideas
Who is "we"? I was talking about myself, and I opt for carrying a desert eagle in .50AE with the proper licensing and a mini-uzi to back it up. The fact that other people don't want me carrying one, and knowing other people don't want what is in my own best interest, just reaffirms my belief that I should carry oneQuote:

you should come to new mexico dm. everybody here has a gun. a lot of people have big huge lock boxes with lots of guns. we like guns down here.
let's go do a drive by.
No offense, DM, but you sound way too immature to be trusted with a gun in public, at least based on some of your posts. I hope your posts are mostly just bluster, or I expect we'll be seeing your posts from prison in a few years.

I've had a gun pointed at me before by a heroin junky. A gun is the only way to defend yourself. The small dick big gun correlation is an easy cop out used by people like you who have a fear of guns and probably pain and death. Almost all the guys doing the shootings and carrying the guns in Rochester are black, I thought black guys have big dicks? But getting away from that, physical fighting is impractical, and I would never find myself in a situation where someone just wanted to punch me, but more likely shoot me and steal money
I've owned guns my entire life. My grandfather taught me to shoot when I was barely five years old and I've been practicing ever since. I'm not afraid of guns. I'm just not really obsessed with them, either.
If you must carry, why the hell would you carry a handcannon like that? Are you afraid of being mugged by a pack of 600lbs. gorillas?
No, so I had the choice of killing whoever was attacking me with a single bullet, whereas a .357 or 9mm would leave them alive. Sorry but if someone wants to forcefully attack me I want them dead
Naw Indi, a lot of my posts are just rantings without greater meaning than just rantingQuote:

Even the one above me
Well, FWIW I think I mentioned I have shot .22 rifles myself when I was younger. To me, its just another tool, one deserving respect. My husband (who very much enjoys the rifle range) felt it important I knew how to handle a gun we would likely have in our home and I quite agree.
Its becoming topical again, actually, b/c my son has been asking about an air rifle. Its currently under discussion in our home. Personally, I think 8 is a bit young yet, but perhaps w/supervision it might be okay. Will see.
Indi, something FAR better than an airsoft gun- A paintball gun. I didn't get into paintball until I was maybe a sophomore in high school, I can't remember, but I wished I got into it sooner. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun. I cannot stress it enough. Ask your son about that, there are probably many places both indoor and outdoor in Vancouver to play
BUY your son a paintball gun, he will thank you for it. It is very differeny from airsoft and target shooting because it is pretty much a legitimate sport, but maybe the funnest I've ever played. He should get involved in that, it's just a thrill. I get so excited just thinking about playing with my friends back from Rochester... drinking Red Bull, playing paintball.
Oh and to answer your questions from the other thread-
I was around your sons age when I shot some airsoft rifles for the first time, my uncle brought them over to my house at a family party and we did some target shooting. Got a CO2 powered BB gun when I was around 10
Shot a real gun for the first time when I was maybe 11, got my first real gun when I was 13
That's a thought. Tho I think he's really too young. Last time in Toys R Us, he was begging me for a Marshmallow gun, have you seen these? Tho I'm a peacenix at heart, these made me laugh:

Wow, that looks like it would be a ton of fun with a bunch of honey coated naked hookers
people need guns to protect their dogs from the police.
Yeah, I hope the absolute worst for those police officers. The ABSOLUTE worst
Exactly. You could have an xstacy orgy party and call it "Smores & More". ;)
Indie, if you want to teach your son the responsibilities of a firearm, don't teach him them with a 'toy'. Those airsoft guns that fire plastic pellets are nothing more than trouble, I am telling you now from first hand experience. Paintball guns too. Those are things you get after you learn the responsibility of a firearm. Teach the boy with a 22 LR. Have your husband take him out and practice for a while... then have him kill an animal with it, and have your husband show him how to clean it on the field - this will teach him the responsibilities of the rifle, or any firearm.
I don't know if 8 is too young or not. I didn't learn how to shoot a gun until I was 14 years old, which was how old I was when I moved to the badlands.
An air rifle is not the same as an airsoft gun. Air rifles are great for learning how to handle a firearm.
Personally, if your husband owns a rifle I think it'd be a good idea to let your son learn about it and fire it. There's no better way to dispel potentially dangerous curiosity.
I obviously misread the post; air rifles, as long as they shoot high velocity, do make great varmint rifles, and ammunition is cheap. But like I said, you should learn the responsibilities of a FIREARM with a FIREARM. That's just my philosophy.Quote:

Yes, I meant an air rifle.
Twice in one week in NYC... I hear there was a 3rd incident, but I don't know what it is.

^^ makes me want to go on a police killing spree.
C.O.P.s = Criminals On Patrol.
Why was that guy resisting arrest in the top video? At the risk of sounding like an asshole, if he WAS resisting in the way it looked, he DESERVED to have his ass beat for being dumb enough to put up such a stupid fight
In the bicycle video that was completely uncalled for though and the cop should get a beat down
Even if he was resisting arrest, aren't there other ways to subdue him without beating him with a billy club?Quote:

I don't approve of hitting a guy who isn't posing any threat. What was that guy realistically going to do with two cops sitting on him? And even if you felt like hitting him was justified (I don't), why so many times?
I'm not sure if he was posing a threat or not, so to speak, but the police were trying to subdue him and he was resisting. However, it looks more like the cop was trying to take his frustration out on the suspect, more than he was trying to subdue him.
One crack from a billy club is all it really takes.
I personally don't feel that a person needs to pose a threat to be justifiably beat. This guy was just being a ridiculous assclown, a complete ****ing moron, by prolonging an arrest and occupying police officers needlessly. I can't stand stupidity and these people, to me, represent some of the best of it. If the police want to arrest you, you're gonna be arrested, don't give them any trouble at ALL, you already lost that battle. If the police are searching your house and probably gonna arrest you, the best thing you can do is write down in a notebook everything they do to try and get them later in court for an improper search
The police in that video were idiots. Roll him over and pull his hands behind his back. They deserve to be beaten for being inept morons. In fairness, the guy getting the beaten probably did enough bad shit to be beaten too, lol. Actually, I think just about everyone needs a good beating.
Very kinky!Quote:

Or better, yet, a cop!
I figure that the two cops should've been able to overpower the guy to get him to stand up/get the cuffs on than hit him and wait for cooperation.
