i thought this was thread was closed?
to make a long story short, i got reopened again... by the people, for the people...
getting back to the topic... yeah so i'm going back to japan and i'm gonna spend my christmas up there with a couple of my friends. haha my parents weren't to happy about it, but what can they do right?? well yeah 14 weeks is a long time away, but check out our flight plan... because it's the busiest time of the year, we have to fly via korean air.. that means fly to korean first then hit up japan... damn is right. but it comes out to about a 1000 dollars cheaper...
raverboy
stop over in korea and chill there for awhile or somethin' ...
Yeah, leaving the family during holidays is tough ... but do what u gotta do ... you'll have a blast ...
If I can figure some kind of cashflow, I'll be in PI again over the holidays ... probably after Christmas and before New Years ...
Actually, you were right, I come here for this thread because it seems like people I know post here most often ...
Where's Keichi been? Around?
Kiechi checked in a week or so ago.
How are you, shorty?
I'm doing alright ... I'm just struggling with school ... I had such a hard time adding classes and now I'm stuck with gaps between all of them.
Other than that, I just miss being with the wife ...
How are things with you, Vash?
Not to bad; busy with school and clinical rotations, though.
You should update us on your trip...
Hey E and V. 8 hours to go til I leave to University! Can't waitttttttttttttttt.
Keep y'all updated.
Good! You do that! I hope you love every minute of it, Kiechi.
****, I'm hatin' every minute of it so far, can't find my damn passport and we leave 3 hours and a half for a damn 6 hour drive and im freaking tiiiiiiiiired, shizzle my nizzle I need to stock up on caffiene and find that mother****ing passport.Quote:

Will report back soon cap'tn.
actually the stop over in korea is 4-5 hours and that doesn't leave my time for looking around. secondly if we leave the airport we have to go through customs and that can be a b*tch so most likely we'll be chilling only in the airport probably eating kimchee or some shit like that.
and school... well i too will be returning to school in january. i'm not looking forward to school, but atleast i'll get paid for it haha.
yeah being away from the familiy is hard during the holidays. this will be the first time that we won't be together during christmas but i'm not a huge fan on xmas anyways. i'll be back for new years which is my favorite party night of the year. lots of friends, liquor and fireworks.. how much more fun can you have??
raverboy
Vash, how much longer do you have to go to class? Are you aiming towards a hospital position or one of those private clinics?
Yeah, I should update, but so much happened over the summer, that I'd want to be able to retell the story with the same intensity that plays out in my head, you know what I mean? But I'll say it was the most memorable trip I'd ever had. It sucks how stagnant things are, here, at home ... (not saying that the Philippines is moving that forward, but still ... I was all new to it.)
Michael, FINALLY! I swore you'd be at Uni a couple of years ago ... it'll be rough your first term, but once you get the hang of it, you'll rock out wit' ur cock out! Where and what are you studying?
Chedda Chad, what do you do in Japan other than drink and party anyway!? What's Christmas like in Hawaii anyway?
you know it's all about the food... you can't get a lot of fish down here in hawaii that they have up there in japan. i love my raw seafood.
other than that, there's a lot to do, sightseeing, shopping and what ever else... c'mon i live on a damn rock haha.
raverboy
Somebody should tell him that Japan is also an island.
.....he's not gonna like this.
but when you really think about it, every single continent is an island itself. and, i live on a little rock, it's not even an island in my book.
raverboy
check out the Philippines ... they got export fish and white sand beaches ... and it's super affordable ...
I spend less money in the Philippines than I do in LA!

where did that come from??
raverboy
i think he was immitating british chick's comment from a few years back ... hahaha
i've rehashed some old topics ... and i saw some people giving "kissing during 1st time sex" advice 8 months after the post ... haha
yeah the experience catches up with the little ones...
as for the philippines.. sorry but that's not really my thing.. i'm into the fob japanese girls.
raverboy
i was talkin' about the girls! I was talkin' about the food and beaches!
And damnit! Open up your mind someday, raver!
speaking of vacations, I'm looking for a new pair of Ray-Bans right now ... I'm that bored ...
Also, I'm meeting up a study group to draw and male and female genitalia for my human sex class ... in preparation for building a full scale model ...
haha my mind is open.. honestly there are a lot of pretty filipinos here in hawaii. i wouldn't mind dating some of them, but when i get married, i want it to be to a japanese chicka...
raverboy
Illusional-----A real traditional Japanese girl? Or a diluted Americanised Japanese girl who only looks the part but isn't at all?
honestly it doesn't really matter.. wait i'm gonna have to take that bad. i wouldn't mind a chick from japan.. but that's pretty hard to come by. maybe like a second generation girl who isn't too "local". i swear, hawaii girls are pretty, but somewhere along the path, they seemed to have develop some attitudes.
raverboy
Hahaha ... hella fobbed out right there ... "take that bad" ...Quote:

Anyway ... you can always find them diamonds in the rough ... it ain't all that special if every girl is like the homegrown from Japan, you know? Find a level-headed chick in Hawaii ...
One of my friends said that Hawaii is hella racist against non-Asians or Americanized ones ... is that true?
dammit, i was typing too fast.. i actually meant "take that back"..
honestly though, i think that hawaii is the most unracist place. we got all types of people that you can imagine. i think when it comes to the fob japanese though, they tend to stick together because, well they are from a different country and probably aren't likely to open up as much to the locals. i have seen them at college opening up more to the white foreigners, but i'm sure it's probably because they share some of the same classes.
as for your friend, it's a personally matter. there are those few people than only want to associate with certain groups of people and to be honest, every place has them.
raverboy
I met this guy on the bus on Hawaii once and we got to chit-chatting. He told me he despaired of ever finding his perfect banana girl- yellow on the outside and white on the inside.
Haha, still 19 :P. Should went at 18, but had to attend a funeral. I'm at Uni in Liverpool (NW England) and I'm studying International business and Japanese. 4 year course, 3rd year out in Japan :D. See you there Chad hahahaQuote:

I think that sounds fantastic! What a great experience that will be. My brother loves Japan.
i've got 11 more weeks until my return... i can't wait.
as for the banana joke, i think that it's a typical cauasian saying. i only hear it from them.
raverboy
I havent read the whole thread its just too damn long, but anyway... I'm vietnamese and polish. a strange mix. most people think I'm spanish. what up to all my asian allies haha :o)
i think maggie q (an actress) is viet and french.
raverboy
I tend to come across Asians using the banana more often than Cacausians.Quote:

E.g. Lloyd = Banana
I get that sometimes to. You'll find a lot of EA's get the Spanish comment.Quote:

really?? i guess that here in hawaii, many asians don't really use that term. but as a caucasian person would like to find an asian girl, they always refer to the banana.
raverboy
He was a Japanese guy who had been adopted by Caucasians, so he called himself a banana.
I was kinda disappointed. He was really cute and charming, but clearly didn't want the haole girl.
she looks way more viet than me. Its funny cause my sisters and I are always saying how we think our mom is half french and she's been lying to us all these years, and to tell you the truth, that maggie looks like my mom when she was her age.. freaky. maybe i am part french hahaQuote:

and the kicker, my mom speaks french (which is something I just found out about her, she's probably some sort of government spy too at the rate she's been keeping the secrets!) :D
p.s. the banana thing is funny. that was the first time i have ever heard it.
people love mixed races ... it seemed like the hottest girls are a mix of 2 or more different ethnicities ... but I'm assuming it's much more forgiving for a female ...
whoa... for me, i'd like to stop at two ethnicities. a mixed plate as i would call it, refers to a girl whose basically a little bit of a few ethnicities. personally i think that korean/japanese girls are the best.
raverboy
I wonder what my kids will be like...?
