wow, i didn't read this thread until now.

lanna no-body is trying to annoy you or bring you down or has a problem with you, but what they are really concerned about is that you might allow whats going on to make bad longterm life changing decisions that no mother would want for their 18yr old daughter.

in fact does your mother know about this relationship?

anything could happen here. you could end up pregnant. you love him so it doesn't matter right? why don't you ask him what would happen IF you got pregnant. the reaction will tell you whats going on. You want to know right? watch his reaction carefully.

honestly what do your parents think?

people are scared for you coz they know the potential for the serious consequences that could affect you forever.

Life is not meant to be so serious especially at your age.

Yeah, if this was actually my sister she'd be getting it ten times worse than this. Not to mention me showing up at her bf's house and having words....with a big bat.

Okay I can't really say anything to defend my relationship. The only thing that I can use is time. And in time when I am still with him that will be proof enough that it's the real thing. My vascular malformation does not cause infertility, it makes it so if I get pregnant I can die. It will enlarge and can cause me to stop breathing.

ACTUALLY I am really successful, I have a full ride through college, going to school for engineering, and am a cheerleader for my university. In my opinion, that is success.


Yes my mom knows. She actually really likes him. My whole family does. We already talked about what would happen if I got pregnant and he said he would want to keep it. My friends and my mom at first were concerned but then they met him and everyone loves him.

Cheerleading. LOL!

no joke but aj makes a very good point. this is serious, can you see? its ok for him to say he'll stick by you but is he willing to look after another life if you die? have you spoken to your sister about this guy? accidents happen and you could end up risking your life at 18 for a guy that in all honesty may not want to stick around no matter what he says now. you really are too young to be so serious about this relationship. it's been 2 months. have you met his family? if you're in love like you say, have you met his friends?

I'm not sure I believe her about the engineering part, 1AJ. At least not the sort you & I think it means. I asked her about a PEng & she didn't have a clue what I was talking about.

But yes, I'm sure those cheerleading skills will come in handy. :D

I thought you meant if I got pregnant when I actually am able to. If I got pregnant now I would have to get rid of it unfortunately. But once I get my laser treatments it's okay to have children.

Yeah well i just declared my major about a month ago. My advisor never mentioned it to me. i am only taking my core classes right now. My current classes are health, college algebra, english, and spanish. Next semester I'm only taking one that applies to my major (engineering economics or maybe facilities planning and design too) the rest are still the basics.

What's your diagnosis?

Like I said before, you haven't seen what engineering has to offer you. Sleepless nights, insomnia, stressing like no other...enjoy. When you actually start your real classes, if you're sleeping...you're not studying enough. Last week I pulled two all nighters and got about an average of about 3 hours of sleep the other nights, caffeine is becoming my good friend for upcoming tests. That on top of 3 clubs at school, soccer and cycling...I really don't sleep much anymore.

I'm ready for winter break. Or some really good head. :P

It sounds like you have an intense insecurity. Sometimes when we act irrationally it's because our body is trying to tell us something. What is it that sparks these intense insecurity episodes in you? I think this is a good time to do a bit of soul searching and to listen.

A little behind? This is my first semester in college. Fortunately I've never really had to study. I got my lowest grade recently though, a 87... so I opened my first book a few days ago.

I cried because the sex was so passionate not because I was embarrassed.
