Ugh. Jessica Simpson looks like a Barbie Doll......fake and overdone ew ew ew. But looks aside, I don't like her because she's just dumb. I shudder to think that little girls aspire to be like her or her stupid sister.

She's actually not as dumb as perceieved on the Newlywed show. They made it that way to keep interest! I think she is somewhat a good role model just fort he fact that she's one of the rare celebrity's that was still a virgin when she got married. But that's just IMO.

I would've respected her more for doing something more constructive like.....going to college. I mean, she's rich, she's got time on her hands, why not try to expand her mind instead of just doing the typical popstar burn-out move of getting married.

Yea, I guess that happens to all celebrity's though. I mean if they ahve a dream to sing they aren't really going to go to college ya know?? But I hear ya!

Jessica Simpson doesn't NEED any edacashun. She's already doing -- with the help of handlers -- what most of the rest us go to college merely to ATTEMPT to do. Sad commentary on our culture, but there it is. Small wonder youngsters are confused as hell about what's up...and what's really going down.

What I LOVE about her is that she confirmed everyone's worst stereotypical delusions with her "Chicken of the Sea" bit. CRACKED ME UP! And made her famous. Talk about Jungian archetypes! She's almost as good as one of Joseph Campbell's mythical heros. She's made stupid a virtue. Quite a feat. (And, yes, I agree RB. She is, actually, FAR from stupid, I'm sure. Wouldn't be able to exploit her circumstances as she has if she were.)

There are plenty of celebrities that go to college. Even Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, who are billionaires and don't really need an education either. But I admire them for being above that.

I'd rather be poor and smart, than dumb and rich. I really mean that. Unfortunately, that's probably exactly the way things are going to turn out. It's a good thing I'm ok with that.

I don't know I just like her. Maybe becasue of those moments she had ( that they made public) I can relate to sometimes. Not saying I'm dumb as a rock but just the humor in some things you say without meaning to I can relate to. Which is why I admore that about her. I imagine it takes a lot to show your personal life to the whole world and have your personality be shown as dumb to everyone. I don't know I just think she's funny!

Funny you say that. I've always thought she'd be a GREAT comedienne.
