Ace of Base was actually my first CD ever.
My dad gave it to me when I was a wee lad.

God I remembered when it was played on tv, I cracked up laughing.
As far as as songs that I listen to that I won't admit to listening to, nothing really comes to mind. My problem is that I don't really listen to the words being sung, but the music being played, so it becomes difficult at times explaining why I would listen to a Harry Duff song because of the music and not of what being sung, by her. I know I am weird.
I loved the movie ... and I had no beef with the song ... but the video makes it kinda weak ... haha ...Quote:

I used to think this song was so 'deep', thats until I realised it was just shite.
Hey don't knock her album. She's definately different, but I actually like her style( or lack of one particular style) that is.Quote:

I still listen to Ace of Base. I actually still like them...hehe. One of my first cds as well.
Well, I did buy the album, so I clearly don't have that much of a problem with it. But especially with this newer one, it's obvious that she sold out a lot and produced a bunch of hollow stereotypical pseudo hip hop tracks. Still catchy though
Oh, I have another one: Kelly Clarkson's song "Because of You". It's on one of my daughter's CD's and it actually makes me cry.
I had shitty parents. Apparently, so did Kelly Clarkson.
Haha! I agree, the video doesn't do the song much justice haha.Quote:

I wish I could put it on my iPod and not have to worry about people finding out it's on there. I was obsessed with that movie growing up. I had the movie memorized, and that's not a lie. But I will admit I have quite a few embarrasing songs on my iPod. They aren't really embarrasing, they are just older songs and not a lot of people have ever heard them. I am a fan of Real McCoy, and I have yet to meet a person my age who knows who they are. I also like the song "Wicked Little Girls" by Esthero, I listen to Ace of Base too. -blushes-
Real McCoy had one hit- what was it? I almost remember this...
Hey Kiechi, look up " Lily Allen ", she's from yer neck of the woods.
Run Away -- That was Real McCoy's other hit.

Just updated my iPod, here's a few of the artists from my younger years.
- Ace of Base
- The Cranberries [Zombie is my fave.]
- The Goo Goo Dolls
- Green Day [older songs]
- Meander
- Pearl Jam [kicks ass!]
The Rat Pack rules all.
I have never heard of them, what's their music like?Quote:

Ahh, the Cranberries. I have their 3 oldest cds. I think those were the only ones worth purchasing.
Ace of Base, I have their first two cds. I still listen to them occasionally too. Reminds me of middle school and early high school.
The neverending story....great movie and love the songs. Reminds me of being a little kid.
Gwen Stefani, Im digging her new album more then her other solo album. But I still can't resist old school No Doubt.
Real McCoy had two hits. "Come and Get your Love" and "Runaway" I personally liked Runaway. Reminds me of freshman yr of high school.
Pearl Jam-- Loved "Alive" and "Jeremy".
I hate ska so I didn't like No Doubt's early stuff very much, their later efforts were good though.
Ace of Base had one song. ONE! They did it over and over and over again with different lyrics. Yes, it was a good beat. But it was the same beat.
Britney Spears, The Answer.
oh, the shame..
