if your date bought his/her pet on the firstdate with you.id be mad as hell
It would annoy me.
I'd be confused more than anything else
I'd think the dame was nuts.
my favourite answer; it depends.
this is probably the weirdest thread you've ever started..
dog: yes, especially if it tried to hump me or something
cat: yes because i can see the damn thing getting lost and the date turning into a cat hunt
goldfish: i really don't know what i'd do if she brought a gold fish. i'd probably think she's crazy

lmao.............
say you were going to have a picnic in the park. bringing a dog/ferret/anything on a leash really, would be fine, if a bit surprising; ie, there's no reason not to mention it before.
ugh.. that would definitely piss me off and turn me off! I'd probably tell her to go home lol It's a DATE not a ****in pet show. And another thing!! Pets are kool and all but when you worship them... NO!
Unless the date was walking thru a park and taking the dog for a walk, that I be cool with or if the girl was training one of those seeing eye dogs, but anything beyond that animal wise for the first date I will be basically be piss, and most likely not call the girl again.
Say that again Alex Mack?Quote:

Like Turden said, I would be more confused that anything else. I don't see why anybody would be "pissed" though...

I would be because to me its like the girl showing up for the date already on the cell phone talking to some one and then at the same time starting a conversation with me. I find this disrespectful and very likely end the date right there and then. And I am not going to call the girl back.Quote:

Depends on the date... and the pet. I'd be cool if a date brought a dog or something as long as it was semi appropriate... but then again.. I think dogs are the best creatures on earth.. so I'm biased :)

I think a dog date would be an excellent first date. Nice hike in the woods- little picnic, maybe some frisbee.
I think watching how someone treats their pet is a great way to see things about them it would otherwise take weeks to learn. For instance, my bf is really, really sweet to his cat. Too sweet, actually. She gets away with murder. This tells me that he might easily be taken advantage of, and I have to draw some of my own boundaries because he'll just give and give until he's exhausted.
No, I am not talking about sex. For once.

this sounds like me... not always the best thing, because people know they can take advantage of me.Quote:

also, it really depends on the woman and the pet...
if the woman devotes the majority of her attention to the pet, it'd hurt my feelings. i've gone out on dates where i was practically ignored because the girl was yappin' on her cell phone the whole time, or something of the like.
certain animals make me uncomfortable. i don't like ferrets or anything like that. a dog or a cat would be okay though, as long as they don't shed all over me, and they don't hump my leg.
by the way i went out with a girl that had a black lab and i went to her house once and the dog started freakin' humping me. he tried to mount me! later the girl hopped in the shower and told me i could get on the comptuer or do whatever. i found pictures on her computer of her banging her dog. imagine that.
I would be a lil confused, and ask him why he didnt mention that he was bringing his dog. I dont have a problem with animals so it wouldnt make me mad unless we were in a place where it was totally unacceptable to have a pet, like the movies or out to dinner
Mad as hell no....but not too thrilled.
