Absolutely. I try not to lead girls on it is a pleasant experience for both parties. I think everybody likes to be hit on, given that it isn't creepy...but it can be reassuring for some people that might otherwise not get hit on as often.

I flirt with everyone: young, old, male, female. To limit yourself to only flirting with people you want to have sex with is pretty dumb, IMO.
First of all, unless you are a two-bit whore, there really aren't THAT many people you'd really want to sleep with, so you won't get much practice.
Secondly, flirting is ultimately just nice way to help make someone else feel good, which in return makes YOU feel good. I don't consider any flirting I do to be "pity flirting", because that would imply I somehow look down on the people I flirt with, and that would be pretty arrogant.
besides, thepeople who are not rountinely flirted with seem to enjoy the attention a whole lot more than the stuck-ups who are used to all the fuss and have come to expect it.
I flirt with a lot of girls despite there look even though I would never go for them it's just for fun and interesting, nothing leading though.
I flirt with some guys and I don't even realize it. It could be just to be friendly or I'm teasing them about something. I like them....but as a friend. With a guy I actually like......it's different. I'm definately more shy.
But, a question for the guys. Do you stare or smile at a girl you don't find attractive? Or, is that only reserved for someone you are attracted to? Even if you don't end up pursuing it?

Like an ice breaker if you dont know someone or another way to laugh at people when theyre drunk.
I like how the controls are different, and im sure thats why its such a hit. As far as the game goes, Id rather invest my time into prince of persia.. mass effect.. etc. Something with character design and plot.

Flirting is how I make my money. I'm a waitress and it behooves me to indulge the men that come into the restaurant. These two guys came in last night and proceeded to get glass after glass of wine. I smile a lot and am just generally a very boisterous person. One of them started trying to salsa with me, and I gave in a little bit, but quickly went back to work and laughed it off. One of them was explicit about calling me sexy and telling me that I better write my phone number on his receipt.
Another older gentleman came in a while back and I could tell that he was interested. I let him hold my hand while we interacted and I made sure to be very attentive. He left a 110% tip and his phone number. :) Flirting pays. Literally.
