I like swing.
The thing about dancing is that almost all the moves you learn can be incorporated into other forms of dance. The idea is to see what kind of dancing YOU like, and then learn to excel at it. Everyone will notice you on the dance floor if you can do it well, and you will NEVER lack for a partner ifyou are any good. I watched a very round, relatively unattractive young man dancing at Disneyland (swing), and he had a different dance partner with every song. He was awesome, and it really gave him a chance to shine.
Learn how to give a good lapdance. It will require you to study a lot of fruity guys shaking their asses, but I think it will be worth it in the end.
Renaissance style dance, the most fun dancing i have ever done in my entire life. Join the closest Society for Creative Anacronism (SCA) and dance away. And it is easy and requires no talent what so ever.
:sigh:
A man who will dance... I took ballroom dancing in college, but alas, a willing partner I have not. :(
I hope your not serious. :DQuote:

Learn to dance latin music and you'll dance it all.
Another bonus: women assume that men who can dance are better lovers.Quote:

Speaking of which, the tango is super-sexified. Just watching the tango is as good as foreplay for me.
I'm doing Street Jazz at the momment.Quote:

I think it's good to start with dance styles that need no partner so you can familirize yourself with your body and see what works for you. What moves you can and can't handle. And then when you've learnt a bit of dancing on your own, you can start going into the field of dancing with partners.
I recommend this because, if you do this you will be already familiar with dance and when you start learning how to dance with a partner you will know yourself better and can spice it up a little.
Get ready though, dancing is a workout. In my first class I didn't think i'd get out alive.
Obviously.Quote:

It's hard to describe, because it depends on music and choreography. It can range from soft to really exhausting routines.Quote:

You can find a bit more here http://www.jazzcotech.com/jazzdance.htm
Typically you don't dance with a partner. You just learn individual moves and how to interprett music and synchronize your movement to it.
Wow! Really terrific stuff! :surprised
I gotta hand it to youtube. ;)
Should I learn to sing too?
Yes
Yes, you should
Only if you can carry a tune, but honestly, I'd take a dancer over a singer any day. Dancing you do WITH someone. Singing is a solo hobby.Quote:

okay... i have no problem with the old school dancing. you are talking to the person who named her kitten gene kelly. BUT seriously, i think you need to learn some dancing that will put a little motion in your ocean... kapeesh? basically learn how to keep some rhythm and learn how to NOT grind, but do some jazz or hip hop classes. or watch some BET.
seriously, if i'm at a club or bar and there's some guy dancing who SUCKS or can't keep a rhythm i'm automatically SOOOO turned off in life. IN LIFE!
Do singing only if you want to attract a dozen chicks in one go.
Use it for good, not for evil!
