Question: Do you believe Jesus really has a Wife?!?

Okay well, i bet many out there are Christians right? and with the belief of christianity, many follow the holy bible. In the bible it describes Jesus as a single bachlor who does not marry before dying on the cross. Well relevent news prove that this is wrong. There has been much evidence in the fact that Jesus might have had a wife known as Mary Magdalene, who was stated to be a "whore" in the bible. Well infact, Magdalene might have carried the daughter of Jesus and fled away the day he was crucifixed on the cross. The arts of Leonardo Da Vinci prove this is pretty much true, and there are other evidence put together out in the world that say the same. I don't know what to think? i mean i am not the extreme religious type, and well i don't really go to church so i don't know many of the issues that have to deal with christianity well. What i do know is that I have faith that there is a God, higher being, etc. That there is a Jesus because there is evidence that proves that. Well if he was rather more than a mortal, i cannot be sure.
If you all had read the top seller book The Da Vinci Code, it explains a lot of what i am trying to understand here. It is an excellent book with very true facts brought together by crytographers or w/e you call those people. This book has really brought the interest of religion upon me, yet i am extremely confused. This evidence of Jesus having a wife, the holy grail, and all surprises me a great deal.

What do you think about it? and how do you feel towards the whole situation of Jesus having a wife? Do you believe it could be possible?

I have never been a 'religious' person, and I used to believe that there was no God...

I have recently found God (3 months ago) and I have been talking to him every since and he has been hearing and letting me know that he hears me in his own ways... But I don't try to understand all the things in the Bible or what really happened in the past, or if Jesus had a wife, etc...

All I know is there IS a God and he has helped me through alot in the past few months... That is all I need to know I believe... As long as you have the faith...

I don't go to church or ever plan to go to church... I talk to God where ever I am and he hears and sees me... Why go to church, why read the Bible, why wonder what really happened to Jesus, or how he lived...

This is just my opinion, i could be wrong...

I have heard of Mag- but unsure of her being his wife.

I have grown up in a church and am guilty for not going any longer. At one point I felt I didnt have to be there, but that my faith alone would carry me. But to learn His word, and grow as a Christian is what God wants, To learn the life he lead, he gave us those things by His examples.

I have faith, believe in God, and know He has a plan for me. Its why I dont worry to the extent of depression anymore...because I know He will take care of me. I look to Him for strength and courage. Not just when I need Him, but thank Him for everything even in the good times.

I have been wanting to get back to church for a long time but find these lame excuses. Maybe Easter Sunday will kick me into gear. I love early sunrise service...

Anyway-I dont know anything on Jesus having a wife...never heard of it-probably due to the lack of my growth as a Christian and not attending Church like I should faithfully.

hmm... unlike you guys, i want to know a reason or have an explanation for almost everything. That's just the way i am i guess. And well i am not very religious and i don't think i have found God. I probably won't until i understand a little more of whats happening. Who knows what is true and what is fake? I mean what if this whole relgion thing is made up? don't mean to insult any christians, but if you think about it, where is the proof for everything?

I cant argue with this subject-I am a Christian have my beliefs.

Its what I know and thats whats important to me. Guess you will have to do whatever you feel is necessary to find your own answers...

I'm not a Christian.. I'm not anythin'.. I used to go Church with my Mum when I was a Kid.. Never understood anythin' about it. Now in school. They make us go to Church every Sunday again. No offence. But they really shouldn't make people who aren't Christians to go.

jesus might have existed or not. i'm not really sure. but the concept of god?? today i still question whether i believe in him or not. raverboy

I am pretty much an athiest. Although I believe that he existed at one point, but I believe there is no such thing as him still living "in spirit" currently.

Yes, he did have a wife. I watched this on an A&E documentary, so some of its got to be true. Jesus was jewish, and in the bible it states that he followed all laws. Back then, in the jewish religion it was against the law if you were not to be married. This was a custom that was strongly upheld. Also, Mary Magdalen was featured in many paintings as being at his side, which was common for a wife. This shows that there is a strong possibility it was her.

In my point of view, Mary Magdalen was his wife, and I believe no man has the power to be celibate to his own wife, so kids are a most deffinite occurance.

Anyways, thats just my opinion.

Speaking of Jesus... Has anyone seen that movie, "Passion of Christ" ???

OMG - I hardly ever cry in movies but I was bawling in that one !:sad2:

The ****ing scene where they were beating him had to last at least 20 minutes of just constant beating:P

And in this movie there was a woman - it never said if she was Jesus' wife or not, but just by the way they made it look I thought she was...

Well worth the money - But I dont think it is good dating material - just my opinion though...

yeah that movie was pretty gruesome. i think the worst part was during the whipping action. you could actually see the flesh being torn out of his body.

oh billy..that wasn't his wife. there is actually a part in the movie where it shows him saving that women. she was a slave that was convicted of adultery. the town wanted to stone her to death because of what she had done. it doesn't go to in depth into the story, but jesus came along and saved her. he told all the people who wanted to throw stones at her, they could, if and only if they have never sinned in their lives. (back to the movie) that is the part where everyone is walking away from the lady and they all dropped their rocks on the ground. raverboy

I love popcorn -- i drown it in butter too --- but it sucks once i get about half way done because i get a handfull of butter and no popcorn... so then i have to go get a refill and pour more butter on it... its an endless cycle... hehe

I lost alot of weight in the past 2 years !

I think it was the drugs, the not eating (no job = starved for days at a time), and the constant sex though...

So other than that I dont know why I have lost weight... lol
