Last night I was with my boyfriend and my roommate and we were making dinner when my roommate and I started talking about this girl we used to know who is a porn star now. I mentioned her name because it's a pretty uncommon name and my boyfriend was like "Wait, where is she from? What was the name of her porn film?" and I was like "She's from around here and I think the name of it is..." and he goes, "yeah, i've seen her in that"
And that kind of pissed me off. I think my insecurity got the best of me and I was upset the rest of the night. I didn't tell him I was upset because of that. Do you men consider what he said something appropriate to tell me? I know I'm a little crazy but I think there's a line and he totally skipped across it

Why do women get pissed when guys mention they watch porn? Seriously. Porn is porn. It's not cheating. It's nothing to get angry or upset about. The fact that ya'll used to know her personally doesn't matter. Is he sleeping with her? No. He (along with thousands of other guys) watched her on in a movie getting her brains ****ed out by some steroid lovin' long schlong. Nothin' wrong with that. ;)

but perhaps tell him anyways and discuss...i find that little things like this, when built up just leads to problems later on.

Porn is not unhealthy. In fact, I would say it is very healthy. Porn is what keeps married men from cheating. It's porn for a reason. Pure fantasy to satisfy that area of human instincts for both men and women. To deny and/or defy it is going against mother nature herself.

I think this really depends on the man.

Following what CharlieBoy stated, I know quite a few fellows who have really distorted views of what a woman should look like and how she should perform in the bedroom as a result of a steady diet of pornography.

I can't see how limiting porn is going against mother nature either, as I have yet to see a pair of breasts in such entertainment that do not deny and/or defy her.

I can understand why it bothers you. But understand it's completely normal, I have yet to find a fellow male who hasn't watched porn. As long as it's not overtaking his life to the point where he expects that every women he meets to look and perform like them it's completely fine. As for what he said, he was dumb for saying something like that. There's nothing wrong with a little porn here and there, but that's one of the things that need to be kept to himself. I'm not saying that he should lie to you if you ask him if he watches porn, but he shouldn't bring it up.

You also did overreact a bit, you shouldn't have gotten mad because he looked at porn before. I think you should discuss what happened with him and tell him that it bothered you, but it really isn't a big deal.

Communication is the key to a good relationship, keeping things bottled up will only blow up on you later on.

i have evidence to back you up. a friend of mine divorced her husband because he didn't have sex with her for more than 2 years.

it wasn't until after the divorce that he admitted that he had a porn addiction and that was the reason for his celibacy.

I wouldnt get upset about it. I think a shitload of men watch porn to some extent and dont exactly tell their women they do. But I dont find it offensive anymore. I use to watch it with my old flame it was great. My hubby and I dont watch it, no biggy. But we love Nip Tuck and thats a form of Porn.

I also think its important for women to be secure within themselves if their man is watching now and again, who cares. But obviously if it effects your daily living and your relationship then theres a problem.

Really? how much different do you have sex? It doesn't get much different. They don't point to the clit exactly but I think any normal person after watching porn can figure it out. There is plenty of porn videos just about sucking on the clit. Missionary position is ok once in a while but that is about it. Otherwise it gets boring.

I think it also depends on your situation. I think if I was living with my boyfriend and I found out he was watching porn instead of coming to bed with me.. I'd ditch him then and there. If you don't live together I think it's acceptable to watch porn.
You have to be realistic about it. Guys and girls are going to masturbate whether they're with someone or not. It's just a way to satisfy sexual needs without cheating on you, so in a way you could argue it is respectful. And if they don't watch porn.. they're gonna think about it anyways so they may as well watch it. If people don't recieve sexual satisfaction they become grouchy.. well I do anyways.
It depends on your relationship I guess and how much trust you have.
I trust my boyfriend completely and we openly talk about other people being 'hot'.

but you have to keep in mind that everything changes. what you were used to as you were growing up has changed greatly. the standards for what's socially acceptable is different. look at the word "bitch" for example, now you see it all over regular tv.

Actually porn isn't made for women. It is largely made for males. I'm actually seeking to find porn made by women for women.
