it's snowing in vancouver again......
thanks for the public service announcement!
(only kidding). why, how rare is it for it to snow there?
Well, the last couple years we've been getting snow during winter not too much though BUT a little over a month ago we had the most snow we've ever had. It's last about a week, and driving conditions were HORRIBLE, i almost got into two accidents.
so snow is not happy news right now especially since i just got my car back fixed after it was stolen a few days after christmas.
It's so cold here the cars don't start. I can't wait for the snow to melt.
it snowed once here and it's almost springlike over here.
it's kinda lame.
two words... global warming.

Crap, I'm going there for dinner tomorrow.
I won't be if the roads are covered in white shit. Thanks for the heads up.
Yes, but WHICH Vancouver.Quote:

lol. You people don't know what snow is
LOL come to Michigan snows here all the time we are suppose to get 3-7 inches tonight.
We're supposed to get 1 - 2 inches tonight, 5 - 8 tomorrow, and 1 - 3 tomorrow night on top of what is already on the ground
i'd settle for 5 inches.
74 degrees, sunny and humid today.
-gleam-
I love the weather here. Here's what our average winter day looks like:

These aren't my pictures but that's an area I do ride through every now and then. We're spoiled here, I hate 40*F weather...
You don't know what snow is either, sonny jim ;)Quote:

It was so cold here yesterday that my hair froze on the way to class... it wasn't even remotely wet! It was around -30 degrees out! And the snow..... well it's not the snow that's so bad... it's snow+wind that will kill you.
Is that all?Quote:

Looking at the smog... LA. It's the only place I know of on the West Coast with that kind of haze 24/7 over the city.Quote:

It's not so much that there's snow here. (I'm 3 hours N. of BO in Seattle) It's that the damn cities aren't prepared to remove the snow. Take extremely hilly areas in cities that refuse to salt their roads, and don't have enough plows to get the arteries clean let alone the side streets.Quote:

I was fine w/ the 6-8" we got in Dec. But then again I have AWD and I grew up where temps get as low as -15 and we regularly got snow.
i love snow.
I love snow. As long as I don't have to shovel it.Quote:

Which is why most my riding never goes through that part of LA. The coastal area is usually very clear, going inland the higher you go there is very little haze/smog at all. As can be seen in those pictures.Quote:

Not all of the LA county has haze covering it. ;)
Cold temperatures like what you get in the Dakotas does not increase the snowfall. Comparing nearest cities on some site, Syracuse NY averaged literally 3 times the amount of snow as Bismarck ND, around 120 inches to 45Quote:

I ****ing hate winter and snow. I want to move back to Florida where I can sit at the beach and go swimming in January.
i wouldn't want to be around the cold all the time, however, seeing a change in the seasons is nice too. and snowboarding....!!!
