My ex-girlfriend and her new man pass my house every day...

My (ex-)girlfriend works just up the road from where I live, and every day her and her boyfriend drive past my house to take her to and from there. I can't help but see them occasionally, and it makes me feel terrible. I was thinking of sending an e-mail to her boyfriend to ask him to take an alternative route? Many are available, the way they go now is probably not even the best.
I know it's breaking NC, but every day now for 30 mins I know they might be driving past, and it really ****s me up and reminds me of it all. When I see them it's even worse.

Shall I contact him? It would, of course, be polite and direct.

P.S. in case you didn't know, my girlfriend left me four weeks ago for this guy. I found out a few days after they'd been sleeping together and all that. And I'm still really ****ed up about it all, so seeing them together is very unpleasant.

I forgot to mention, that this guy was himself in my shoes just a few months ago. His long-term girlfriend ran off with another man. So hopefully I could count on his understanding.

If you contact him you are letting it be known that it is getting under your skin. For all you know that is possibly their intentions in the first place. They know you are there and want to see how you will react. So sending the email is only giving them what they want. Then they'll both sit at the computer screen and laugh and say what a dumbass.

Just pay no attention to it. It will be hard, guaranteed, but you got to just ignore it.

If I were him not only would I not change my route, I'd tell your ex about it and we'd laugh every day as we passed by your place honking the horn.

He had been in a relationship with a woman who left him for another man, and here he is, with a woman who left hers for him. Does he really think she wont do it to him too?

Why not put a sign out on your lawn that says:

"Cheating whore passes by here at 9 AM every day ... tickets $5.00"

Maybe you shouldn't be looking out the window for them? This seems like a simple solution, sounds like to me you are looking for them intentionally. To confirm what swargolet is saying I am living proof of worse.

The girl I fell for after 2 years is now living with a co-worker that works with me and she works on the same floor as me. She moved in after she slept with my best friend from 4 years old on who was staying on my couch for a few months because he needed a place to live. This shocked the hell out of me I am now a bigger and better man taking the high road. When I see her in the office I smile at her and realize that she gave me a gift as in showing what a complete piece of messed up crap she was and that I am now free to find a woman that'll respect me.

When we were together and I was in la la land I thought she was the most incredible girl I've ever met and still there are tons of qualities that were great about her that I am looking for in another woman. Her evil side and the crap qualities that created this mess show me what to avoid at all costs!!! Forgive her, love yourself and when you see them just know one of them is in for world of sh*t and you are no longer part of it. Just stop looking out that window for a while.

Call me an asshole but I'm know to be somewhat of a sarcastic asshole and know how to push my ex's buttons. I've said some things that I know really put her on edge and made her uncomfortable. Think Dr. House...and her face the times I've said some things! lol...priceless. That's the best revenge imho.

Btw...my ex cheated on me with a few guys while we were together. You'll get over it. It takes time.

You know that somewhere inside she is doing this intentionally to get a rise out of you. Do you want to give her satisfaction after what she did? Hell no.

You have to ignore it, even if you hurt inside and are upset about it, you have to pretend it doesn't bother you.

The last thing you want to do is give her any reason at all to think that this is bothering you, that will give her a twisted sense of satisfaction. You got burned, a lot of us here have been or will be. In the end, the better person ALWAYS wins, its just the price you pay is to take the first hit generally.

It wont show for a while, but I guarantee you that their relationship will statistically fall apart. People who leave one person and jump to the next are not capable of having a healthy relationship, they are driven by desires that the rest of us aren't. Relationship hopping like she did is like playing Russian Roulette with your emotions. She lives in excitement and bliss, but the first time she gets the wrong chamber the fun stops and shes going to get what she dished out ten fold back at her.

You're dealing with the hardest part of the break up/break down right now, if you can clear this you're golden, just stay strong and stay stubborn to a degree.

Thanks for the replies - yea, I'm better about this. In the last week I've felt a lot better about stuff.

re: not looking out the window - well, you know that's hard. I don't want to see them, but I can't help knowing they're there to be seen! Anyway, like I said I feel better and stuff. I've been going out a lot (something I don't normally do), and meeting some new people. It helps loads
