Would you be jealous?

My girlfriend of 8 months has been taking day trips with a male coworker friend on the back of his motorcycle. They go to wineries, bars, sometimes dinner or a movie.

She has dated coworkers (before us) in the past, and she insists nothing is going on with him. She gets upset when I tell her these trips upset me or when I say there's a meaning or implication to her spending this much quality time with another guy - especially on the back of his bike.

I'd be jealous if my BF were going on dates with someone else; I don't see why it should be any different for you.

Yes, yes I would be quite jealous. And I'd also be pissed that she'd go out drinking and hopping on the back of a motorcycle afterwards.

Yep, I'd worry. I would only worry less if 1. He's gay 2. He would just give her a lift to events where there are other coworkers or friends around too, as long as its not just the two of them 3. He's married.

Uhm, she's sleeping with him. Or at least in some sort of emotional relationship with him... As she obviously values spending time with him more than she values how you feel about the situation or the fact that she spends so much time with him instead of you.

i agree with lite on this one take it into consideration

i would be jealous yes, and I would also wonder what the new person has to offer that you dont. in my opinion, something is up if they are spending more than 2-4 hours a week outside of work together...friends is one thing, but spending that much time...is a problem. nip it in the bud. shes crying and getting upset for a reason.

Yeah I'd be jealous. She is lying when she says their just friends. She gets mad because she knows what she is doing is wrong. I guarantee she is going to leave you. You better do something.

Sounds suspicious. Here is where you find another girl and do the same to her and she how she likes it.

I would drop her.

I mean... this is crazy as hell. Either do the same thing to her and show her how it feels. Or simply ask to go with her.

But if I were you... I would find me someone else to go hang out with and drop this broad.

Yeah seriously what is wrong with you? She is more than likely sleeping with him already no matter what she tells you.

I would be suspicious of an emotional-type affair...

I'd be uncomfortable and I think it's inappropriate.

This is just my opinion.

I would definitely get jealous. Her behavior is unreasonable at best.

Distance yourself from her. This is the only way.

If she cares about you, she will come back. If not, she'll go with the biker dude.

I am afraid you're being kept around as a back-up plan. Also, it's important what she DOES, not what she SAYS.

How often does this happen? Once every now and then I wouldn't worry, but if it happens more than 3-4 times a month it's something to watch.

If it's a regular habit, as "every Friday after work", I'd worry a bit less compared to if it happens randomly. Passion doesn't work in schedule! So if it's a thing that happens anytime without warning (she calls you and tells you she's going out right now instead of coming home as planned), it's more to worry about.

If she stays away for a whole night or more days, hell yeah there is something wrong there!

You could try to make your investigations, but it's a sign of not trusting her, and if she's really not doing anything wrong, she'll be more furious than ever when she finds out. Try to ask her where they are going (name of the place), then you could call the place and ask if they could get her on the phone because you can't reach her mobile, and see if she's really there. But you still can't make conclusions easily.

One more thing you could do is talk to her and ask if ONE TIME ONLY you could join them two and bring a (female) friend along. Make sure she understands the proposal is just for one evening, otherwise it will be like you're trying to wreck her habit. Then watch the evening between her and her coworker. If they're having at least some of the fun even with you 2 there, then it's quite ok. If they look irritated like they really wish you weren't there, it might not be so ok.

And remember, theoretically there is nothing wrong about a woman and a man to have a friendship without involving sex or at least some sentimental attraction.

But it's damn hard...

Theres something going on there and its more than friendship. take it from me man, I have a motorcycle and I have had a girlfriend while owning mine. I would never take a girl out on my bike if I had a girlfriend without her explicit permission, its a respect thing. That goes vice versa, when my friends girlfriends want to go for a ride, I ask them PERSONALLY first if it would bother them that I took their girl for a ride. A bike isn't a car, its not two seats next to each other, its polite humping, you rub right up against the rider and have your hands on his/her stomach....its a little touchy-feely.

Besides that, her getting furious over you voicing your concern is a tell tale sign of guilt. When you corner a guilty person they lash out in anger to make you feel like YOU are the one in the wrong.

Something is going on, shes not being honest with you I can guarantee it. You have every reason to be upset about her behavior.
