It's not my favorite position, but what's not to like?
I am not a super huge fan of it, at least not for a long time period. That position allows for deeper penetration than some other positions, and some guys seem to find it very enjoyable, maybe because of the penetration level. I prefer positions where both partners can see each other and hold one another, but I hear that some people actually like the unique sensations that this position can provide, while some women simply deal with it for the sake of the male's pleasure.
You like the intimacy of holding your partner. I like the passion of just getting nailed. Any position is fine for me.

Its alright for a little while or for a change of pace but sometimes kind of feels uncomfortable to me, like he's stabbing my uterus or inside lady parts.
Not really. It doesn't do much for my personal gratification and I find it slightly degrading, for some reason. It's weird, because I don't find doing all kinds of other things degrading- just that. Maybe it's because it feels so impersonal, like I could be just anybody.

Doggie is a pretty nasty term, but it's one that everybody knows. Most other terms are too generic. I think that "spoon ", position would be a good name for it.
That would imply to me that you're both laying on your side, though.
To me, 'spooning' is either a sex position, or intimate cuddle position, both laid on your side.
Well Qwert, it doesn't have to be. You can lay spoons on their sides or one on top of the other. Wouldn't you rather say that you got laid in the spoon position, rather than say you got f**ked like a dog? I don't want any woman to feel degraded.
Out of all girls I've been with only my last ex found this position degrading. But then again she also found sex to be degrading to women. She was of the opinion that the woman should be the one to penetrate the man to make things fair.

I think calling it 'on four legs' is not degrading. And 'spoon' is definately something different ,so You can't change 'doggy style ' to a 'spoon' ,because those styles aren't even similar to each other ;)
