Vancouver also has a cherry blossom festival. They are gorgeous this year. I live higher up so mine haven't bloomed yet, probably by mid-April.

speaking of which, japan is a weird long shaped country, kinda like chile.... the cherry blossom season ranges from probably mid feb until middle or late march. lately the seasons have been kinda weird and this has caused the cherry blossoms to bloom early.
speaking of which, i think both washington and parts of DC have cherry blossoms.
