shh if you told with me, i meant that Johnny depp in this film has a very ugly aspect
so i saw this movie and it was good. the only thing though... they've made johnny depp the same "weird, sarcastic" guy lately in several movies.
but he was funny.
i'll give the movie an a minus.
i find this movie a BIT too weird for my taste ...from what i saw from the previews . It reminds me of Michael jackson and his Gayland . Some rich dude that lives alone in some big wonderfull place where only kids seem to dream of going there . He looks super pale (like Mike) brings kids to his *place* (like mike) and does funky things to them (again , like mike) ... just seems wrong like some pedophile fantasy (for johnny deep that is , or his caracther willy or whatver)
lol i never really thought about it that way. that's kinda sick!
Although Tim Burton's movies are a little over the top in my taste and I actually sit there many a times a little embarassed thinking "this is really queer, are people enjoying this?" I must say I really did like what he did. A lot of people keep saying "why would they remake such a classic movie?" and they hate the fact that it exists. What they don't know is this isn't a remake of the original movie per se but a truer telling of the book. They wanted to make something a little more faithful to the book and they really excelled at doing so. In short, I enjoyed it even if it weirded me out a few times.
P.S. I use the word queer quite a bit. It has NO relation to the word gay or homosexual. The true definition of queer involves something being extremely odd or not the norm. It's a fantastic word that's been ruined by popular slang.
Heit ist mein taug.
They're running out of movies to make, you notice a lot of remakes being made these days.Originally Posted by Zekk_T_Strife
