Well I'm no too sure about other men. But yes I would definitely only talk about it to someone who I see a future with. Your lucky :)
I don't think many of us really talk about it direct like a woman would, at least I didn't nor did my close friends.
I made a joke about how my girlfriend (now Fiancee) was stuck with me for life while we were at a club one night, I'd never mentioned anything previously but in my head I knew I was keeping hold of her. I need to work on my open-ness :P
If someone you are with mentioned it then I would take that as a big step :) unless of course you'd only been dating a couple of weeks, then it's odd.
Yes, I believe so. My guys said he "knew" when he wasn't phased when he spilled a bit talking about what our kids will be as they grow up. He says that was his pinnicle moment for him.
There are two reasons we talk about marriage:
1.) We are considering it.
2.) We think it'll get us laid
Every man I ever was involved with wanted to marry me and have kids - of course, it only happened 'once'.
If this guy saw you are 'potential' future material, he'd be exclusive with you, NOT just dating you.
