Low libido, poor personal hygiene, and a cluttered space. It sounds like he's either depressed, or has self esteem issues. I think people that generally keep their area picked up feel good about themselves, and that's reflected in their appearance, and the way they maintain their surroundings.

i honestly wouldn't go a day with out a shower and really wouldn't want to be with a guy who doesn't shower regurlarly...that's just bad habbit. i know you don't want to make him feel uncomfortable but you might wanna bring that to his attention...talk to him, tell him you don't think is good hygiene not to shower everyday... tell him it botherss you,yes he might get offended but, sometimes ppl have to listening to the stuff they don't want to hear.

I don't know if he's depressed.. maybe he is. I've suffered depression for a large portion of my life, and he doesn't appear to be, but I could be wrong I suppose. He is quite disillusioned with his work, but everything else seems to be going well for him.
I think he cleans up the shared areas of his flat just out of consideration for his flatmate. It's not that he doesn't know how to clean up, or doesn't have the ability to be tidy.

It's not just about depression, it's also about self esteem.

Pixel, I think you could do better even if you were looking for boyfriends at a homeless shelter. You've described a trog. Yuck.
