Very true.

It's hard enough to discern people's real intentions on a level playing field... it's even harder when you have to filter through emotions that seemingly have no physical basis (along with those that are more 'normal').

However, I guess common sense, logical thought, and observation can offer more insight than feelings ever could.

I think you have to learn to live with suicidal thoughts like vermin. You try to control them, when you see them you think, "You don't belong in my house." You don't pick them up and hug them.
