It's up to you, NickeyD. LF is a good place. Just because you feel you had a bad experience here the first time, doesn't mean you shouldn't come back if you want. Personally I'd rather not have things candy coated for me. I want people to be straight up, even if I don't agree with them or don't care for their delivery. If I'm doing something stupid, or thinking in a stupid way, I want to be called out on it. There could be a valuable message in there somewhere, and I don't want to be too thin-skinned to miss it.

I'm tired of people coming here that get pissed when you don't tell them what they want to hear.

When I wanted advice, I took it all. If I didn't agree with something, I'd state WHY I didn't agree with it. I wouldn't piss and moan about it.

She'll take her blinders off someday...hopefully.

It has nothing to do with that. We welcome new people. We gave her advice, but when she didn't hear what she wanted to hear, she got negative towards people.

I asked her to consider sticking around.

wow i have to say im surprised at the bullying going on here and i have to say starbuck u are definitely not included in that statment.....u kno its not fair to personally insult someone....these people looking for advise and already kno they have been stupid and are embarrassed about it....u need to take a look at some of the stuff on this thread...really not nice...infact some people shldnt be allowed to give advise if all they want to do is insult....people are hurt and they dont need more insults

I didn't call her stupid.

I just agreed with her because it was a true statement.

People who are gonna sugar coat everything so that a person feels good about their mistakes shouldn't be allowed to give advice.

I've been stupid before. I'm sure that others who have dealt with some of my problems will agree.

The OP knew what she was getting herself into. It wasn't her first mistake. It probably won't be her last.

I give advice. I think the advice I give is actually pretty good. But I don't try to make the person feel all nice inside when I give it if they did something extremely stupid. Like the post about the guy who was married and had a gf of 14 years and was looking for gift ideas for her.

If this offends you, then leave.

I don't tell people to leave if they disagree with me. I tell them to leave if they're offended by what I say.
