"...all the affection to a hooker..."
"To give all the affection to a hooker, **** that...":D
Wonderful young generation we have here. Glad I'm not part of it.
Well, thank God that there are people who believe that people can change. And thank God you are not running the world. I'm sure that all reformed hookers, drug addicts, and other such "filthy" people (as I'm sure you deem all of them, judging from your Middle-Ages, Church-of-Rome, "beware of witches" rap) never REALLY reform. Once a dog, always a dog, hey? Have a good life!
As for myself, I will continue as I've been since the age of 18. I once had the HONOR of allowing a hardened drug addict to stay with me in my apartment. It took a year. After that year, he got off the drugs. He's now medical doctor--and a well-known on in the Chicago area.
But, of course, he didn't REALLY change. Once a drug addict, always a drug addict, hey my young friend? Amazing. If you're "Christian" (are you), then it's a good think you weren't around when Jesus was choosing his disciples. You'd have flunked. Certainly Yehoshuwah (otherwise known as "Jesus") hung out with those who you deem irreedemable.
I told you clearly that the woman reformed; that she is a successful business woman now (I think I mentioned that). You sound like some 18th Century Victorian bigot. And you're a young man. That's quiet pitiful, if you ask me.
Anyway, if you wish to continue to characterize her by her former profession, I suppose that is your right--especially since you don't know her, and especially since you obviously have been living in some puritanical bubble some where, looking down your nose at the rest of the "riff-raff."
I am also happy to have helped another guy who was wasting his life. I spent about 6 months helping him, and he eventually got out of his life and became a police officer, and thanks me for the time.
No, I didn't get paid. I enjoyed HELPING someone.
By the way: Don't try it. Because it takes certain...qualifications, the main one being compassion (something you seem to be sorely lacking in).
I am very happy, and very proud that I spent that time with her. I honor her, because, having been in the real world in my life, I know precisely how hard (almost impossible) it is to change from that kind of profession, especially when someone starts as early in life as she did.
I honor her--more so than those who project a form of self-indulgent self-righteousness (sticks out like a sore thumb).
I also am quite proud of the fact that I met a prostitute, DID NOT dismiss her as a filthy, irreedemable whore; discovered her love for her neighbors (elderly neighbors whom she looked in on constantly, as I discovered); her love for her children; her love for humanity at large, and her love for God.
You, though, had you been on the bus when she got on, would, no doubt, summed up her case in one split second: "She's an irreedemable whore."
If you claim to be Christian, then stop. But if you are Christian, then I think it might be a good idea for you to read some of the so-called "false" (apochraphal) gospels that date as far back as any other "authoritative" gospel. And you just MIGHT find out something VERY INTERESTING about your god, "Jesus Christ"--the one that Church art would cause you to believe was sexless, and "above" even touching those "filthy" women who carry "original sin."
Hopefully, young man, in time you will grow to see your views change. In fact, I am certain of it. Print this out, and read it 20 years from now.
And if you DON'T change, the it doesn't matter anyway. Because, in truth, you're not representative of humanity in its best form. Humanity in its best form is loving, and, with regard to this current discussion, forgiving.
I'll tell you this. That woman is light-years more compassionate and caring and forgiving than loving that you are at the moment. Hopefully, as I said, you'll grow to change.
Also, I can see from your words that you have not lived enough of life to understand much. That's okay. It maybe be that you'll have a shock coming down the line. I hope not. But I hope so.
