My boyfriend is a fully-functional emotional human being, so it might be a problem with YOUR guy, not all guys.

I mean, look at Zach, for God's sake.

I agree. Maybe soon Zach will find a fully functional emotional human being for a boyfriend too.

    Your just mad...
There are moments when one feels free from one's own identification with human limitations and inadequacies. At such moments one imagines that one stands on some spot of a small planet, gazing in amazement at the cold yet profoundly moving beauty of the eternal, the unfathomable; life and death flow into one, and there is neither evolution nor destiny; only Being. - Albert Einstein

    That's better.

Don't project your emotions on other people.

That won't help you resolve your problem.

Yes. You need to learn to be more independent or you will alienate him.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

    Your a girly-man.

But on the topic tho. Guys are basically taught to keep their emotions in and not to express them as it is viewed as a sign of weakness. And guys tend to not like it when we have some girl throwing her emotions at us as well.

I don't know if I buy into that, Jurupa. I hear it a lot. Mostly from women.

I'm really not an emotional guy. I don't cry. Not because I'm afraid people will think I'm a weakling, but because I simply can't. There have been times in my life when I thought it would be appropriate to cry, for instance at funerals, but I could not muster the tears. The pain is there, it just isn't as poignant as it was when I was a little boy and the slightest thing had me bawling.

I don't know if I'm an anomaly or not, but I get the feeling that many men naturally aren't emotional.
