Hello everyone,
there is this girl i've always found attractive. We are not friends but I know her through other friends. Last night I went out and didn't know she was coming and I found out she broke up with her boyfriend. we danced a little but that's all.
Now I just added her on instagram and waiting to see if she accepts.
Like I said we're not friends so I have no other way of contacting her.
Do you think is a good idea if I send her a private message through instagram?
Also what can I say to her? I don't have much experience asking women out so I'm not sure how to go about this.

I'm not sure why you didn't ask to see her again after your last dance together but that's water under the bridge now so yes, ask her out over instagram if she accepts your friend request and just say: "I enjoyed your company and the dances we had the other night."

Quickly ask her out for a drink or a pizza or to do something you both like to do once you get chatting.

not that I didn't like what you said but is there another way of asking her?
I say this because I actually passed my limit of alcohol but I didn't mess up or anything or at least with her.
Can I sy something like hey I think youre attractive and I'd like to get to know you, We should go out sometime?
Or is that too forward for a first message?
