Guys do most of the work approaching girls. They need to have confidence, look attractive, make her laugh, and impress her. What does a girl do? Just stand there and get hit on? It takes skill for guys to pull chicks. Guys who can go out with many girls deserve praise, hence the names like "pimp" and "player." Girls who go out with many guys at once or sleep around are called sluts because saying no is easy so if they don't, people think there is something wrong with them. They pretty much can get any guy they want. It's not an accomplishment for them.

TAH-DAH! Which is precisely why, misombra, women are thought of as ho-bags when they do, and men are thought to be merely virile. It's a disgusting, chauvinistic mentality, steeped in male dominance tradition. A man's gotta know for sure, after all. My question has always been: Why? The mother knows it's her child. Why isn't that enough?

The other side of coin: How else would a woman know who the father was if not by restricting her sexual activity to one man? Question to that: Why does it matter? The usual answer goes back to questions of inheritance; or, in other words, more male dominance crap.

Now, who's thinking of the children's interests in all this, I wonder? One might say, eveyone is. That's why it's important to know whose kid belongs to who. So we know where to provide (give wealth). What gives the lie to that assertion, of course, is that disputes over providing will erupt if one or another MAN discovers the children aren't bilogically his. So we're back to who gets the wealth again. In the debate, the children are totally secondary considerations. And they didn't even ask to brought into the mess.

It's a very complicated way of going about things, which we manage very sadly, IMHO. There are are alternatives. But they all require a smaller population base, something along the size of village, to work.

You're right, nomas. I'd overlooked that in the heat of expressing my displeasure with the prevailing system. We do also have this strange impulse to be immortal, as well as to pass wealth to the "correct" children.

We don't call girls "sluts" sub-consiously lol. We do it consciously and when it is done that way...previous instincts do not always come into play. I consciously decided that I do not want kids...I thought nature would not allow such a thought in my head?. There are girl sluts and guy sluts...I have heard the term "man whore" before. Its like I said though..girls dont do much about it. The most a girl has ever done to call a guy a slut is go on love forums and create this thread.
