Let's see some examples of your past work with this software!

Oh, and P.S. again - The original Dragon Warrior! OMG that game pwned me for many many weeks and restless nights

I'm decent. I don't kid myself and think that I am anything phenominal though. I've only been doing 3d and digital stuff for about 2 years or so, and the industry standard is about 5 years or so to be where you start making some great money and great skill as a 3d artist.

I look at movies like Final Fantasy Advent Children or any of the games from the XBox 360...those guys know 3d. The toughest part about going to school for it is that you have to learn ALL there is to know about game development, not just developing the ability to make realistic 3d art. But practice makes perfect they always say

Oh, and thanks RSK. I'm doing some renders for my portfolio here in the next few weeks as a low poly artist...ive got a ton of stuff that I can showcase I just have to put it all together...maybe once I do I will show you guys my portfolio

How do you feel about having girls on your team? I love to program.
I do not have experience with rpg maker 2000 but know VB6 and DirectX.
I have been making on a tile-based rpg game for over a year

And I have lots of sprites if you are looking for graphics to use.
But my homework comes first, I'll say that right up front. So it's up to you.

girls dont really bug me
im not familiar with vb6 or directx but im sure that rpg maker 2000 is easier than both.
and i really dont need graphics..im pretty much looooooooooooaded lol. none of them being my own artwork though. (rpg maker comes with a load of them so there is no need) many of them are ripped from popular games like final fantasy.

and i understand about homework. my homework(and girlfriend) come first for me. id love to have you work with me on mine. email me saying you are interested in helping me with my game(so i know who you are) and your aim screenname/msn messenger username so i can talk to you about it and share what i have already!
thanks!

sweetness man, that is my favorite game series of all time. the first one is best; the original usually dominates all in creativity and fun.

if it wasnt for dragon warrior, i wouldnt be into rpgs like i am today.

btw i will show some screenshots of my game on here if you tell me how you did it/i can do it.(they are more than 100 kb of size)

i dunno about dragon warrior to much but i played through final fantasy 1 all the way through 8 ... not the american kind , i really mean 12345678 ... not including the ones in Gameboy AND the remade versions of some of those ... imo the best is 6 (3 here in the america back then)... now those are good rpg's ... japanese based ones .

ohh and Cybog , i stopped playing xbox about 3 years ago , and those screens actually made me want to go play that level your building , it seriously looks good , looks like some jungle war based scene or something like that .

Someone needs to make a game that combines the story and feel of Half-life 2, the ballistic effects of F.E.A.R, the lighting of DOOM 3, and the RPG element of Chronicle of Riddick...and thus the best FPS game will be born. I am tired of these crappy millitary ones coming out. Its like a huge propaganda conspiracy.

Thanks The level is actually finished, it was made for Unreal. It is a FPS Capture The Flag map. The concept was a beach scene with 2 Quonset huts on either side as the bases. There is a working waterfall, rain, mine field, working obstacles, fences, sniper towers, hidden objects and surprises and much more.

When my class played the level I was actually concerned that it might be too easy, but we had to go into overtime for someone to finally score a flag. The class cheered and clapped when one of the teams finally got one, and I knew I had a good solid level

OV is right, one of the biggest problems with FPS is the tired military sims. The company I work for develops military simulation, but for video games it is so far old that it isn't even fun anymore.

This is one of the best articles ever written about the state of video games and their popularity.

For the next 6 months I am working as a team leader with a group of 7 artists and we are doing 2 levels based on an Angel and her strike against Heaven and some forces of Hell who are on Earth waging battle.

This isn’t going to be cheesy demons and winged angels. This is going to be something totally new and different. We are in the concept and design phase as we speak

Originality is something difficult to achieve in video games, and that is something I aim to work on in everything I do.

i think they should make a diablo 3 because d2 is my favorite computer game..infact its the best one i can play with my crappy system. i cant wait till i get a new one.

plus i got nintendo ds for christmas. i know nintendo is going fischer-priced, but it has touch screen capabilities! its like no other video game experience ive ever had! if they could incorporate that into something with better graphics then they have a near-perfect system.

i imagine of a game system where every movement of your body affects how you play; like a virtual game where you put on the mask things.. but it has to look realistic too.. now THAT would be da BOMB!!!!
