Help with approaching women you've never met before

a good way to try and get talking is to find out what she likes and knows well and talk about that whens shes right there and she'd most likely join in the conversation. I'm shy and if i had something to add to a conversation i'd add it. It sounds weird by my hypothesis is that it would be successful.

Thanks for the continued advice! I saw this girl today...and I smiled at her and she smiled back. Very brief...but, If I make it a point to make eye contact and smile each time I see her...she will want to know more, and It will break the ice on its own. OR SO I THINK haha

Ditto. Whats wrong with reality? Because as long as you stay out of the waters where the sharks bite (ie the girls that will not be nice to you when you approach them), the likely hood of getting bite is small.
