Starbuck, are you a gamer? If you are that's like +10 points to your already hotness factor.

Yeah AJ, I love games. Like I said in another thread, I'm taking testimonials for my mom who thinks my game playing is going to turn guys off. Hehe.

I have a Dell XPS and an Xbox360. Some of my favorite games have been Civilization, World of Warcraft, Dead Rising, GTA, Oblivion. Unfortunately I don't have as much time as I like to invest in the games with a higher difficulty level. I'd love to try and get further in Mass Effect, but I keep getting stuck. Plus, is it just me, or does that game have an insane amount of annoying talky-talky scenes to sit through?

I just installed SPORE. Any helpful hints from anyone before I start?

You NEED to play the Half Life games.

IMHO the best PC games to date. They're incredible.

Your mother is from a time where games and PC's were for nerds. We live in a nerd world these days, so it's a plus for most guy.

Anyway, Mass Effect was made by the same guys that made Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which was highly acclaimed for it's unique real time/turn based combat system, and especially for its story and dialogue system. If it's not something you can appreciate, then it is not a game for you.

Yes, I have definitely wanted to try them. With my work schedule, game time is usually more of a luxury for me, so I tend to pick up games I can pick up and put down at any moment (like Wow, which is frighteningly easy, and stuff like Spore and Civ) Unfortunately that means some of the more complex, plot-rich games I can only drool over.

I can see her point in a way. Sometimes I think her interpretation of my game playing is also that it is a sign that I'm fighting being a grown up. So she's just being a concerned mom which I appreciate.

But I think it's kind of unfair, too. I excell at my job, take care of myself financially and emotionally, go to the gym, go out with my friends. It's not like I'm a "little girl" in other ways. I wish she'd give me a break sometimes.

Ah, for all of you who like to play your games on-line, but don't like to play with all the assholes.

    www.zerocommit.com

It's gaming forum dedicated to those who do more than just play games, whether it's work, or family or whatever. It's a very easy going and friendly crowd, and I've expanded my 360 friend's list quadruple since I've joined it. They play anything and everything.

You can find me there as Frazbee, my gamertag is Frazbee as well.

It could be worse...you can have your mom telling you to workout your upper body so you look like the guy on the Abercrombie & Fitch bags and can model for them (or in your case look like the female models). Psh...I like my skinny ass, all 138lbs of it. I love cycling, I have no need to work my upper body. I enjoy, no, I love cycling. It keeps me sane, it keeps me in shape. I can already see myself losing fat and gaining a ton of muscles on my legs. My abs are starting to show a bit more. I do what I love, I don't care what other people say. I met a guy today that placed 2nd in a 400 mile race, said he's gotten to a point he doesn't really know what else to set his goals to. He road on a single speed fixie through some hills, this guy was a beast. I aspire to be like him, gaining upper body mass isn't going to do anything for me and the goals I have set. I don't care if it makes me hot. I'll find someone that loves me for who I am, not what I am.

Unless what you do is destructive to yourself. Live your life the way you want to. Do what you love, don't let anyone tell you differently.

Yes...I'm tired of my parents telling me to find a gf and now telling me to work out a certain way. It's not like I'm unhealthy, I'm in great shape. I'm just kind of frustrated, I could use a night ride right now but that isn't going to happen with all the HW I have right now. And I'm frustrated I can't tomorrow either because of family plans.

    Also why do you ask?

It just seemed like you grabbed any opportunity to vent about how you don't care about working your upper body.

Re-read you post, it sounds a bit crazed.
