our economy is crashing in spite of the bailout bill.

you know who our government should've bailed out? the home owners who these banks exploited, so they could keep their home and continue to contribute to the economy.

I read it's posible to skip certain stages, though your higher capacities will be affected by the lack of satisfaction in lower areas. Something will be missing.

For example, it's posible to live without a home, but how you live and your quality of life will be severly affected.

It would've been worse if they didn't. The banks would've gone under. This way, when the markets pick back up and the homes regain their value, the banks can repay the gov't the bailout plus interest. It doesn't seem like it, but it's an attempt at stabilizing the economy. It's just going to take awhile.

I'm hearing rumours we're facing a depression worse than the 30's.

I just started working for one of the big banks, and I can tell you, people are coming in everyday and majorly freaking out. It's kind of scary. People are dumping their investments left right and center.

Good idea. Then when the smoke all clears in a few years, you CAN retire in the mountains. Shit, I'm alright with retiring in my 30's. Working is for suckers.

On the bright side, gas is cheaper! Woohoo!

No, it is all a state of mind. I agree that safety in general is important no matter what to our survival and survival is priority so no matter what we do we are bound to that. Though love for example is not necessary, it is even lower on that list than just plain sex that our minded through hormones forces us to want, it is a thought process these days that gets people in trouble. I think some have that pyramid completely mixed around though the bottom base is always the same, more logical people seem to care less for the lack of relationships especially once they are independent. I have no care for the type of relationships other have, I though disagree on terminology I just for this sake will say that I easily with out a doubt would take infatuation over what other call love...which is something I don't know...or care for as a matter of fact.

Not only that I think some of the things they placed in each are misplaced. There is so many different type of love. Family is very important but loving a stranger to me is not..that is not even on this scale at all.

Oh hey look, it says that "acceptance of facts" is at the top of the pyramid. Guess all religious people are still somewhere below that. yikes.

Jeez that thing is totally wrong! Everything listed in Esteem are consequences and results only after you reached self actualization. My god...that is not the pyramid I studied in psych class!

What are you waiting for? WTF do you need money for in the ****ing mountains? I recommend an axe, some cook books on rabbits, and fire.

Well, you can argue one way or other, the priorities listed after all are not perfect. But to me personally they make sense. Though, I see them as not necessarily leading into one another, I can see how being accomplished in lower levels can make it easier for people to be more accomplished in the higher ones. For example, I can see how having friends, loving family and abundance of sex can make one more confident. I can see how having a lot of confidence and high self esteem can increase a person's potential to solve problems, be more spontaneous and driven. While having less will most likely have the opposite effect.

    Nice bit of artwork.

Anyway, found it interesting that morality is listed twice.
