Ya...just a little. College algebra is the same crap as high school algebra except they don't care if you fail. At the engineering program at my school they expect that you'll be in at least Calculus I and if you have to take algebra it's considered a remedial course.

You should have already done algebra. Hell I was doing algebra in 8th grade and went straight into Calc my freshman year in Highschool.

Never had to study...nor have I, until recently. Trust me you're going to be hit hard by some of the courses you're going to have to take.

I didn't know I was going to major in engineering when I signed up for classes. I have taken algebra in high school. I also took algebra in 8th grade. I took calc. in 11th grade then no math my senior year. The closest thing was physics. I figured I would brush up before anything serious.

I don't know why, but for some reason xO Lanna reminds me a bit of Sarah Palin. Ignoring questions and people's opinions, reinterpretting questions to suit own meaning, self defence to cushion the ego is more important than understanding and seeing things for what they are.

I'm not answering your questions because they already have been answered. Read other posts.

lanna i understand that you don't want to answer certain questions coz maybe you are trying to avoid the truth. this relationship will likely be a hard lesson for you to learn from. i for one feel bad for you coz you are so young.

we all understand what it feels like to think we're in love and get hurt but this relationship will scar you in ways you can't see now.

we're all just trying to warn you.

Sorry, I forgot to add. Also with a hint of arrogance.

We've all been in your shoes lanna...like ecojeanne said, we're just trying to warn you of WHAT WILL COME. There's no doubt you're going to get hurt, and you're going to fall hard.

I'm surprised you could get into an engineering program without senior level Calc & Physics, so I'm not surprised you are doing some makeup. 1AJ is right tho, the college level courses are not the same as what you are doing now, be prepared.

Anyway, what's important is you're staying in school & studying something you find interesting. If I had to go back again, I'd study mech or aerospace engineering, those are terrific fields to be in the next several decades, awesome choice.

You haven't answered MY question, and I've asked it more than once. What is your diagnosis? The NAME of it?

Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

I've never been through it and even I can see it is unhealthy and insane. Sometimes I think xO Lanna says things just to get sympathy and to get us off her back seeing as she didnt answer Shh!'s question yet.

I agree. Imho Mechanical engineering is sort of the universal engineering. You can go into SOOO MANY fields with it. You can get into the aerospace industry, car manufacturing, computer company, a chemical company, pretty much anything that involves you making something, hell you could work for a company designing a toilet.

Aerospace is very similar to Mechanical, actually at our school the courses are listed as MAE (mechanical and aerospace) courses. They actually take almost all the same classes we do, just a few different ones geared more towards aerospace.

But really with engineering, once you've gotten into a company it really doesn't matter what type of engineer you are. You can move around into different fields, having the degree is just your ticket into the company. When I was at my internship I met a lot of people that weren't what I expected. I met a fellow that was a Mechanical Engineer, went to Purdue. Smart guy. Now he's in Computer engineering, but doesn't have a degree in it. Also met another guy that was in Aerospace and working as a computer engineer now.

Um, how about Narcissistic Personality Disorder? That's my guess. I also suspect a chemical imbalance as the cause of her volatile behavior here on LF.

My diagnosis for what?? I have a vascular malformation, it's a BIRTH DEFECT. Not a disease. it changes form when my body has high and low levels of estrogen/hormones. There is nothing more to say about it. There are in my throat so when I get my period I get sick and it's hard for me to eat anything. If I got pregnant it is suspected that I could stop breathing.

Eh, nevermind. There are lots of types of vascular malformations. It just seems that you might wish to expand a bit, knowing that many of us suspect you are sometimes less than truthful.
