Wow! well, I am a man, and I am really 41. Why would I lie about anything when I am trying to seek help and take advice?

Anyways, I met a girl last night at the bon-fire party. I had met her before... 23 gorgeous as heck. (I know, another young one) We exchanged numbers... And I would like to pursue her, but is it too soon? I dont want her to be a quick fix to get over my ex. She is a wonderful person. I know I need to work on myself some. But it sure is nice to have someone showing interest in me again... What do you guys think?

P.S. I will try to keep my punctuation to a minimum...

don't mind the punctuation thing, its a ridiculous point and has no bearing on your issues. yes i do think you like to go for younger girls or do you think they go for you for some reason? anyway i'm sure it probably will help you personally get over her, however it's not fair on the new girl to be used as a rebound. anyway if she doesn't mind, then i can't see it being a bad thing, 3 weeks tho, if you loved her; you wouldn't even consider going anywhere near someone else yet (just my opinion, altho i'm not a guy). are you thinking this way to get back at her?

No, I am not trying to "get back" at her. I believe i have come to the realization that we are truly over. She is gone. And I need to move on.

I will take it very slow with this one, and be very cautious. She knew my ex... My ex and I had sex the first night we met, I will not do that with this one, or anyone else that I can possibly see a future with. And yes, I am attracted to younger girls. I think most guys are... Plus, I'm a little immature. lol.

I think it's nice to have someone show interest, but using impressionable too-young women just to satisfy your own needs without much concern for theirs is plain selfish and wrong. I think you need to work on yourself A LOT!

If you are lonely, get a dog. If you need sex, get a hooker. In the meanwhile, stop picking on the young 'uns and find yourself a woman with whom you can share a real relationship that's beneficial to both of you.

    Carl.

Oh, good lord. Giga is right - you are appallingly immature for a man the age you claim to be. Can't you find anyone in their 30s who'd be willing to date you?

If you really cared about these young girls, you'd consider THEIR best interests and stay the hell away from them. Your sex drive is about to tank, and they haven't even hit their peak yet. Your body will soon be falling apart, and this ridiculous age gap will be even more ridiculous. These girls are still maturing, and in 5 year's time, they will outgrow you emotionally.

And giga is right - grown up men don't use so many exclamation marks.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

I was giving you the benefit of the doubt, coz lots of men end up with younger women and are happy for years (and it tends to be coz younger girls are looking for sugar daddies to look after them...look at Hollywood). But choosing a person who knows your ex is a bit close to home and seems a bit contrived. Are you looking for a person you respect and care for? If so, I would consider you should stick to your own age group coz it will be more fulfilling and guaranteed she won't irritate you the same as a younger girl would. I think what Carl says is true; if you're looking for companionship then get a pet. Just my thoughts

ok, ok. I will stay away from her. I do need to work on myself ALOT! I am still very conflicted about my ex. One minute I'm thinking: F U I never want to see her again, and the next I'm thinking What the hell did I do? I really loved her, and I want her back. But I know it's just too late. I dont know what to do. I have so much pain.
