You don't even have to play with the statistics at the school I go to. I mean, I knew a lot of kids were running around having sex, even unprotected sex. And it wasn't because it was rebellious, in fact many of the parents condoned their behavior. I don't think that has anything to do with it. It's in the culture that teens adopt here and now, they have a mentality that they're indestructible and they honestly don't understand that they're children.
Anyway, back to my story. It was last year or two years ago that we did a major blood drive and all of the sudden kids kept on getting rejected. No one was accepted to donate. Then the calls came in that something was wrong with all the blood. It eventually got around that it was estimated that half the school has AIDS. A gigantic epidemic. I don't know about you, but two thousand kids dead might cause a parent to get a little "strict".
