    Delicious Food

Post something delicious you've made or eaten recently.

I've started frequenting this bio-market around the corner where they have Raclette (a Swiss cheese) toast. The most delicious variety (in my opinion) is the "fruit" toast, which is: hearty toasted bread, sliced canned pears (or pineapple), the melted Raclette scraped over the pears, with cranberry jam on top. They also have it with Parma ham, green onions and spices (salt, pepper, etc). SOOOO delicious!

Oohhh - California Pizza Kitchen has THE BEST pizza. Have you tried the BBQ chicken? Whatever, it's all delicious. Their dough is so good. You can buy their cookbook from BN, and the finished product really does taste like what you get in the (overpriced) restaurant.

I made a garbanzo bean curry last week that was killer. Fried up some onions, garlic and potatoes in a skillet, dumped cumin, turmeric, cayenne pepper, cinnamon--hell, a whole slew of spices on it. Added two cups of garbanzo beans and a little water. Cooked it down and mixed it around until I had a semi-thick sauce. It was incredible. I love how with Indian cooking you can take a handful of bland ingredients, add the right mix of spices, and you turn up with something amazingly flavorful.

CPK is pretty much some of the worst pizza I've ever had.

Tonight will be tacos. Lean ground meat pulled apart by hand as I throw it into the skillet, mix in some fresh ground chorizo, season to taste, then fry up some fresh corn tortillas where the oil is just hot enough to make them puff up to be a combination of light, fluffy, and slightly crispy.

Add toppings as desired and serve.

Take a couple of potatoes, some onion, a zucchini and red pepper. Grate the potatoes and zucchini, slice the rest fine. Throw it all in a skillet with some olive oil and fry it up.

Personally, I'd sprinkle a little hot sauce on it.
