    food

    new boyfriend.....

    we get along really well....

    until it comes to food....

we spend forever trying to decide what to eat.... (we plan for it though...and start talking about it early)

can never seem to decide or agree.....

we dont argue about it though...and we are very courteous to the others wants

    any advice?

I'm not sure why this should be a problem. Are you trying to tell each other what to eat?

If you are going out, take turns picking the restaurant. If you are staying in, whoever cooks gets to decide. ::shrug::
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

HR - It's frustrating at times when you both take ages to decide on what to eat but it shouldn't be an issue. My suggestion is to go to a restaurant that serves more than 2 types of cuisine.

For example; if you like Italian food and he likes Indian food, find a restaurant that has both. I'm sure where you're from, there is such a restaurant?

Me and my ex were just as bad when we first started going out...write down a bunch of restaurants on small pieces of paper, fold them up, pull one out of a bowl. End of problems. And yes, we seriously used to do this. We had a zip lock bag of a bunch of restaurants.

the only way i could see a problem with this is if the other person was vegetarian or something. i would have a hard time dating somebody who was vegetarian because i would be eating bloody steak and some fried chicken all the time with no shame.

well.......i dont mind him eating meat....

i believe its a personal choice...

i choose not to do it and he does...no big deal

but i dont want to go to places that just serve burgers/chicken

and i really dont like fast food....

and i offer to cook and we cant seem to decide

i dont think its so big that we should break up....i kinda like this one.

we agree on italian food....but that seems to be all we are eating...

    well, don't eat out.

go to this place, it's called the "grocery store." buy some "ingredients" and make your own custom meal.

Don't you have restaurants that serve vegetarian food AND meaty food? Other than Italian, I mean.

Is there such a thing as 'food court' over there? Where they sell multi-type of food.

go to a website with recipes. there's all kinds of really good vegetarian recipes out there or recipes where you could throw some meat in on the side and make it non-vegetarian.

    you must be creative.

italian food is good, i think.

My daughter is a vegetarian. trust me, it's not so hard to blend these two diets. Whatever you make, he can BBQ a steak on the side.
