So as a few of you knew, my roommates girlfriend moved in with us for a month or so, as she was in between living situations.
I agreed to house her, knowing full well this would not be wise for my roommates relationship, but who was I to preach about it.
It was okay the first week, strange to have a third body here full time, but nothing really hard to handle. There were colorful shampoo bottles, art on the walls and some other very out of place things for my lifestyle.
I could tell by week two that my roommate was not going to enjoy this.
Well she moved out a few days ago, but not before I finally butted heads with her. She started to develop this attitude towards me and it rubbed off on my roommate. They would just make smart ass remarks about anything and everything. I put up with it for a while, but I finally snapped at her last week.
Her and my roommate were out watching the show "Lie to Me" (good show) and I walked out and sat down to watch it. She started to whine about how I make too much noise in the morning when I get up. That was all it took, I had had enough, I just absolutely lit her and my roommate up.
I explained that since she was living for free under my roof (since my roommate didn't pursue her paying rent and I am too nice), she had absolutely no ground to complain about anything, much less me getting up to go to the job that puts the roof over her head. I also explained that it was her fault that my noise wakes her up since they refuse to close their bedroom door at night. She tells me she can't because of the cats, that they scratch on the door and carpet (both are damaged because neither cat was declawed). I simply said that it wasn't my problem then, to either close the door or shut up.
She continued to argue with me and complain so I brought an end to it. I told her to be out by the following Monday because she would no longer be allowed back in our house. My roommate wanted to say something in her defense, but he knew that there was nothing to say. I went to bed at that point.
She did move out by my deadline and avoided talking to me at all costs. My roommate and her ended up breaking up as soon as she moved out, citing that she was a bitch as his reasoning.
Doppel and George, everyone has bad roommates at some point. You can be nice for as long as you feel like it, but when push comes to shove, if you're paying you have the right to do whatever the hell you want within reason.
