What's the difference between a player and an incurable flirt?

Both flirt and one likes to sleep around obviously.. but how can you tell whether someone who flirts a lot is a player? Is there a way to tell if a prolific flirter is also a player?

From the point of view of being a woman and hit on by a guy, if hes too interested in getting some action, then why should i think im any different to other women.
It also depends on how well you know the guy?..

From the point of view of me being the girlfriend of either..well i just wouldnt be, even just flirting is not acceptable IMO so it wouldnt matter which he was.

what does it matter? if someone's flirting with you and you enjoy their attentions, then move forward. if you're uncomfortable with this, move on.

in my younger days (omg, I sound like I'm 50 or something!) I was a MASSIVE flirt, but I never really got too heavy physically with many girls, mainly kissing and stuff. some found this to be not to their liking, and stuff them, I was just being me (I was very gregarious back then). a lot of girls for some reason didn't seem to mind, it was usually insecure boys that didn't like the way I was.

One is being really friendly and the other is trying to get with you.

You can probably tell by positively flirting back and seeing how fast he tries to escalate things.

I think you just hit the nail on the head btr. I never flirted with anyone who didn't WANT my attentions....that's called sleazing (or being a 'player', whatever you prefer). you can usually tell within the first minute or two wether you're welcome or not.

I flirt A LOT. Like a lot a lot. Has driven some of my GFs in the past kinda nuts until they realized I mean nothing by it. One of my failings is I wont sleep with anything once that I am not prepared to sleep with again. I.E. When I make a "purchase" I stick with it.

Just look for consistency b/t what they say and what they do. This has to come out over a period of weeks. A player will have given up by then b/c they are all about the short game.
