Wow. I heard a man who had sleepwalking problem drove to his relative's house at 3 in the morning and slaughtered them.

This is easily the most concerning thing I've seen on this forum in over three years. I'm really, really worried about you, qwerty.

I'm afraid that might not work, QWERTY-- not for what you want, anyway.

I lock my bedroom door in the evening then put the key in a sidetable next to my bed. All this does is slow me getting out of my bedroom, but that's the only job I need the system to do: give me time to wake from my occasional (frequently occasional) night-panics, and realize where I am.

Sleepwalking is a different problem. You sleepwalk half-awake, knowing where you are and what you want to do. You can do fairly complex things, such as finding a key and unlocking a door, without waking from your near-dream.

Instead of trying to keep yourself inside, you need to find some way to wake yourself before you get outside. You might look into getting a couple of door-frame alarms like those you find in travel-gear shops.

And, of course, you want to check with your doctor about the whole sleep-walking thing.
    When in trouble,
    Or in doubt,
    Run in circles,
    Scream and shout.

It's important that you get help because you have a child. Sleepwalking is not a joke and it's not a game. Get help before you do something drastic. If you are really doing this you need to go to Sleep medicine so they can study you.

i dont know, ive only done it those couple of times, been fine since, and ive never done it before that i know of.

I think i would probably wake up if i tried to leave the house as my dogs bark like crazy as soon as i go towards the door..enough to wake anyone up i think!
