Has anyone of you had disturbed sleeping paterns after the break up?

any serious changes with your sleep time or so, and for how long did it last, or is it still there and you are trying to fix it?

I think its safe to assume this happens to everyone after a breakup.
Lack of sleep, food etc etc.

First 2 months were horrendous for me sleep-wise. Then 4 month wasn't great.
    Fine now (5 months on)

I think its common, first month was dire, dreaming of the Ex all the time of how things used to be, (we split about 8 months ago) the strangest thing there (for me) its the only time ever I have actually been aware I was dreaming in the dream. My Sleeping pattern definantly changed I would sleep much earlier because I was waking up all the time, I made that choice and it could have contributed to me waking up more a lot more, after 3months it started to get easier, 5 months on and my sleeping pattern is pretty much back to as it was before.

I don't have a problem sleeping through the night, but I'm dreaming about him when I didn't before. Had a dream that we were hanging out as friends, and he kept telling me about the things he and his new girlfriend do (not just sexually) in minute detail. I was crying the whole time, but it was like he didn't even notice. It didn't seem like he was trying to hurt me in the dream. Just talking to me like we always did before we dated. Ugh, it was horrible.

I had very vivid dreams of my ex after a break up about 6 years ago. One was so real about the break up that I woke up and reached for the phone to tell him I'd dreamed we'd broken up only to remember that it was real. Hurt very bad.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

I use to have the dreams of holding my ex's warm body close to mine until I awake in the middle of the night suddenly realizing she had disappeared. Lately, I've been falling asleep next my really hot Jenna Jameson blow up doll.
