Ok about 8 months ago a guy asked me out. I declined because he was a year and a few months younger than me. He defriended me on facebook, hadnt really talked to me, etc. In january i saw him, that night i sent him a message on facebook saying i still wanted to be friends. He declined more or less saying "i dont view you as some mature adult compared to me, your definition of maturity is hurtful, but good luck in school and life. I dont see a friendship working out because youll continue to view me the way you do, and thats not something i want, etc".

I recently searched for him on facebook, and his profile pic is him kissing some girl. So do you think, if hes over me with this new girl, is it worth it to try again? Or should i just let him be?

I would explain to exactly why he did what he did. But it would only add fat to the fire with this whole war of the sexes thing. Let him go. If you didnt want him in the beginning, then dont do it to him or yourself and try to spark things up. As for the whole FB thing, he defriended you to get over you. Let him walk his path. He's right, you wont ever view him as more than a friend and he's accepted that by ridding himself of the temptation you have/had over him. While a seemingly immature move, officially not being friends on facebook closes a window for him to look at you with. Let it be and learn from this. Nice guys...finish last.

This isn't a case about boys versus girls, or nice guys versus bad boys. The simple truth, OP, is that you're being confusing. You said you want to be friends, then say this thing about him having a picture up of him kissing another girl. If you want to hook up with him now, it's too late--it would seem like your ego is hurt, and you are more interested now because he doesn't want you. That, or you didn't find what you were looking for, and he's the next best thing you can find. Both of those things can be really, really annoying... I give girls one chance, and after that, I won't give a shit how much they beg and plead if they change their minds later. Even if it's because I've changed and become a better person, I'll say, "Too bad. You should have seen that I had that potential and helped me get there, not waited for me to figure it out all by myself."
