    Half way to Philly

    Stuck somewhere in the between.

Actually I'm just North of Knoxville, Tennessee in some Inn, probably way overpriced but I didn't feel like driving around to compare prices. At least I got internet, so that's cool.

My g/f's truck broke down, she was hauling a 5x8 trailer packed full with a little 97 Ford Ranger, 4 cylinder.

I was worried about it, but she kept an eye on her gauges and averaged 55-60.

About 2 hours away from Dallas, her clutch decided to stop doing it's job.

No AAA card, but fortunately her dad can grab her with his F-150.

That was a pretty miserable feeling, not being able to do anything seeing as I'm on the other half of the country.

I got a solid 12 hours of driving, plenty of day light out, but I decided to call it quits since my lower back wasn't cooperating with me.

I'm gonna eat a Katrina MRE my roommate gave me, brush my teeth and go to bed, then get up around 4 again, and hit the asphalt while it's still cool.

Halfway to Philly sounds like a song title.
Second thoughts can generally be amended with judicious action; injudicious actions can seldom be recovered with second thoughts.

    I could write one.

Though I have no musical talent that I'm aware of.

Philly was awful. Everyone treats each other over there like even the slightest expression of extrovertedness automatically flags you as a giant piece of shit ready to ruin everyone's day with something like "please" or "thank you." Then again, it wouldn't be too inaccurate of an assumption. It's easy to look and see who was born there and who's there on a business trip.

    Is this where you're from?

I know, I was thinking the same thing.

    It's temporary.

I haven't settled in yet, but I feel like I already know it's temporary (though still relatively long term).

I have career goals that I want to accomplish here.

I feel so overwhelmed right now.

There's so much to do, so much to process.

Part of me as asking, "Why the hell did you move back to Philadelphia?"

Granted part of that is that I'm currently staying at my father's house, which is bothering me more than I thought it would.
