Should we talk about the time two female profs invited me to dinner at one their homes to discuss their Wiccan culture and their desire to have sex with me? Yeah, they're both Full Professors now. Or how about the TA in her late-50's that offered to **** me. I said, "no way" but lots of other nerdy guys said yes. They couldn't resist her big floppy tits and the chance to screw their D & D buddy. She used D & D as an "in" with the nerds. It worked. BTW--I wasn't a D & D freak...hated D & D and disliked Monty Python, too. Or how about the time the swimming teacher had all of the boys go into the clubhouse and drop their swimsuits so she could touch all of our dicks and tell us which one of us was going to turn out to be a sex stud?
Should I go on?
Nah. You've already made your mind up, right?
I'm inclined to agree. At least the data that is out there about pedophiles supports this. There's a mayo clinic report from 2009 that discusses these stats and while the percentage of female pedophiles to male is now thought to be larger than the 1% originally estimated, I can't see that number being so wrong it completely flips the gender bias.
Of course, teachers (and other professionals) might be treated different statistically but I can't find any numbers to support this.

Indi--I read the report. One big problem is that this is only looking at documented pedophiles. The fact is that boys (and later men) are very unlikely to report incidences of abuse or harassment. You have to take the "known" cases and divide them by the estimated rate of reporting...the actual likely number of women who abuse boys grows substantially. The age at which boys are most likely to be abused--age 4. How likely are they to report at that age? Not likely.
According to the Children's Bureau (US HHS) the person most likely to abuse a child of any type...the Mother, Acting Alone. This is a government statistic.
Another undiscussed issue, swept under the rug, is the prevalence of single mothers and stepmother who molest their sons or stepsons. A problem that is sometimes stuffed into the general abuse category rather than made public.
Ad hominem attacks from Vash aside, I'm perfectly serious about a problem that is very real.

Thank you IndiReloaded! I recently underwent some major surgery, and under the influence of whatever happy juice they were feeding me in that tube, as I was wheeled into the operating room, and I saw all that shiny, highly advanced equipment, I couldn't help myself but blurt out, "Hey! Do you have the machine that goes 'Ping?'"
To which, the response was a pat on the head and a room-wide exchange of looks that I interpreted as "Ah yes...the drugs are kicking in..."
You have restored my faith in humanity.

Where's the link to this "fact"? Not the one that says women are more inclined to abuse. THAT I believe.... because it most certainly refers to physical abuse (and MAYBE sexual abuse when the kids are very young). Women are generally more likely to actually provide care for young children, and so would have greater access. I want a link to the "fact" that female high school teachers abuse their male students in greater numbers than their male counterparts.

Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
Money. I would marry for lots of money.

I would want to marry when planning to start a family. I think there is a big difference between a girlfriend and a partner. Plus I wouldn't want my children to be called bastards for the rest of their lives.

In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame

How much is 'lots of money'? How much is enough to marry for money?
ooops why my 'Reply With Quote' didn't work?
I'm getting married next month. We're both happy about it. We probably don't have to, but my man is a bit of a romantic, and there are financial benefits to it.
Also, if we have children, I don't want to be that hippie mom that has a different last name than my kids. I would like to create an outwardly cohesive family unit.
