Historically, the horse was an animal specifically bred and raised for the purpose of serving man (sport, farming, war, etc.). Women had no business being involved with horses (though this differs from culture to culture). Traditionally, women were also used as a tool to serve and satisfy men. They were mothers, homemakers, prostitutes. For the most part, women existed to serve their men; this we know.
A sort of kinship based on the histories between women and horses has developed over time because of the subservient nature of their lives. Women who did ride horseback were thought to be trouble. Even many women that did ride were supposed to ride sidesaddle. Riding astride a horse meant a woman had to spread her legs, opening the very center of her womanhood to accommodate the animal.
Also, the methods for training horses has changed drastically. Typically, the animal was beaten into submission and force-fed saddle and bit. DeW, I'm sure you're familiar with the term "breaking a horse". Horses are very spirited, wild animals by nature. They have virtually no natural predators because of their ability to flee the scene so quickly. They are fascinating animals that communicate in very subtle ways most of the time, so understanding them can be very difficult.
There is a butt load of textual evidence revealing the romantic relationship between woman and horse, and it is full of sexual innuendo. Read some George Eliot, Jane Austen, Emile Zola and you'll find some interesting text.

I miss working on a farm. I could ride all day, every day and be perfectly content. I've loved horses since I was a little girl, and never outgrew the phase. In fact, as I've gotten older and wiser, my passion for horses has flared. I still have several pairs of jeans with giant holes in the inner thighs from being stuck to a saddle so much.
DeW sounds hawt! I agree, his shirt should be off while he rides his tractor![]()
I never wear shorts to a jobsite, ever.
Even when the guy runnin' the show recommends it for the heat.
I've never heard people bitch so much about the heat like they do up North, but I probably did too, until I lived in New Orleans.
I always wear pants, boots, and plain colored t-shirt.
I used to work with a guy that wore long sleeves too, no matter what time of year. I understood his logic, but I just couldn't bear to do it myself.

Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
You should get back to it if it is what you love. I have my degrees and I had been thinking I wanted to go onto law school but I love working with animals so much I actually talked to my parents about maybe going back and getting a degree in zoology or veterinary medicine.
The thing is I started working with exotic animals when I was about 14-15 so I sort of took it for granted...thought that kind of job would always be there. And its not without a degree. Well unless I just want to shovel shit for about minimum wage.
So truly if you love riding you should go and do it....or even get back to working on a farm if that is what you love to do. People may think that farmers are kind of simple but its a pretty complex job. There is so much you need to know now. You about have to have a business degree, be a trained mechanic, electrician, plumber, and vet....then be willing to do some grunt labor.
I'll keep it on thank you, I think all men should keep their shirts on pretty much all the time, showering, sleeping, and sex are the exceptions.
Yea the heat does suck and it would be cooler with less clothes but it isn't as safe. I don't wear long sleeves even when I bail. Its usually well over 100 up in the mound, I don't need anymore clothes....but some guys like to wear long sleeves so they don't get cut up. I just get cut up.
Completely baffled by a backward indication
That an inspired word will come across your tongue
Hands moving upward to propel the situation
Have simply halted
And now the conversation's done

No, he wore long sleeves not only for the protection, but because he would sweat into it, and it would keep him cool for the rest of the day.
Mornings are the worst because it's hot and humid, and you're coming out of the A/C so it just feels stifling.
I've learned to embrace the heat and embrace the sweat, nothin' like a good sweat and a cool breeze.
Two guys to play with, but it would have to be nobody i am involved with.
or
My guy to come into my office, not say a word, sweep my desk clear and well im sure you can imagine the rest. (though actually I am a bit OCD ish so the mess of my stuff from my desk on the floor would bother me, alot.)
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
I had extremely hot sex with an asian girl a fortnight ago. I've been pretty much reliving that every night since. But I haven't called her, I don't know why.
Is it burnin'? Well, f-ck, now you're learnin'.
^^^ Maybe you're one of "those" guys. If not, I'd call her asap.
...one can be sure of nothing until it has already happened...
