Ermm, i wouldnt say so, my last ex was different. He was by best freind for 10 years, i was already attached to him in so many ways.

I have a lot of (i guess you could call them trust) issues. The thought of letting someone in was(is?) too scary.

It's hard to let someone new in once you've been wronged so deeply. You'll never know how wonderful this could be if you don't try. And let's say you do try and it doesn't work out, it doesn't mean you failed. It's never failure if you learn from it. The positivity or negativity you take from a situation is entirely up to you though. Focus on the positive. Try and let those amazing qualities of his fill you up with happiness.

I know you're terrified. I know it feels like the ground could give way at any moment. That is why we learn to let go. This situation is only as scary as you let it become. Please know how strong you are, and how strong you've been, for you and those you care about. That is more than enough reason to love who you are. And no matter what happens with this guy, you will be okay.
