For some reason my neighbor, who I've never spoken to and have no particular desire ever to in the future, signed for a package of mine and is holding it for me. Except she's never home and I can't get the goddamn package. I'd have gotten it Saturday if she'd just have let the goddamn mailman take it back to the post office which is just around the corner. I'm wondering if I should feign appreciation when I finally do get my package or if I should bluntly tell her what a pain in the ****ing neck this has been thanks to her. I can't believe they'd just let some random neighbor sign for my package. That pisses me off.

God, so atrocious in the Old Testament, so attractive in the New--the Jekyl and Hyde of sacred romance.

If people are good only because they fear punishment and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed.
