My skin has been pretty whacked out lately. I feel like I look like a fourteen year old hormone ball with acne. Its not that horrible but not the norm for me. I don't like it, I feel really self concious and put on more make up which I don't like.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
After losing her full-time job two years ago, my girlfriend has been taking college classes to finish getting a bachelors degree. Back to school costs were brutal this time around, $650 for textbooks alone, plus $800 for a laptop to replace her creaky old one. And there have been some other unrelated costs, all happening at once, like her tearing her last contact lens for her right eye. Now her car engine is making a bit of a buzzing sound and she wants to get that fixed. I told her that unless there was an actual problem with the way it's running, we need to let that slide for now. She got mad and hung up on me. She has gotten better, but I still think she would be better at handling money if she had to support herself.

she really expects you to pay for all those things?
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.
she hasn't had a job in two years?

She's about to turn 30. I'm 45. I currently earn more than 10 times as much money as she does, because she is just working some part-time hours at a customer service job while taking 18 credit hours this semester. I want her to stay focused on school so she can wrap up her undergrad degree by this spring. She is thinking about going for a master's as well, which would be two more years of school. If we're going to have kids, we want to get to that point before I'm 50 and she's 35.

if my car made any unusual noises i would be quite afraid to drive it. try to understand her. i mean, man, you are planning to have kids with that girl, don't make money such a big issue, especially since you are making 10 times more than her. i mean if you were making a grand more than her, than i'd understand. but if you can afford an investment into your woman's life then don't be a cheap ass.

I finished Final Fantasy 13 and have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the story, the ending and many other aspects of the game. The setting was great and everything looked promising, but Square Enix still managed to screw up. The story ended up being uninspiring and predictable, characters shallow and unrealistic, ending forgetable, character voicing and dialogue laughable, exploration gone and battle system / character development has taken many steps back. Very disappointing, considering that Final Fantasy 12 has created so much promise and took the genre in many new directions (e.g. freedom of movement during battle, freedom of exploration, open world, good enhancements to battle system with Gambit setup).
To think that only some 14 to 10 years ago Square was the leader in jrpgs and set a standard for others to follow. Now it's competing in a crowded marker and instead of shaping up they are making some unforgivable mistakes. I hope they will pull their socks up, otherwise they will be drowned out by other big players in the field (Bio Ware, Obsidian, Bethesda etc).
Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
God or the Devil

I make more than the median (American) household income on my own, but not so much that I can comfortably support her plus deal with a bunch of extra expenses in a single month. During the last several weeks, she also fractured her foot and her car needed an electrical repair. I realize that she had a bad month, but my checking account also took a beating. I am almost, but not quite finished paying off a load of debt run up during 2004 when she missed a year of work due to a couple rounds of surgery. Insurance paid for the medical stuff, but not for the missed income. Two months from now, all that debt will be paid off, and I will have strong cash flows again. I just want her to wait those two months before we pay a mechanic to investigate a noise. I don't mind the necessary expenses, but the optional ones need to wait.

Vncenzo - has she ever supported herself independently?

18 credit hours is more than a full-time job, and adding part-time work to that is quite a bit. She's clearly not a deadbeat. She does, however, need to learn that you aren't Mr. Moneybags, there to bail her out when things go south--unless that's how you want her to feel. She should appreciate the fact that you're helping to support her through school, not take advantage of it and give you a hard time over the money you are so graciously providing.
