I do not subscribe to it, but I understand it. Especially if you are military and move around a lot, it helps you keep in touch with people. I think it's a very good tool, I still wont have one though.

I made an account a long time ago because one of my friends moved really far away. Since then I post my music and have a lot of friends from school I have not seen in a long time so it is ok for me. I visit maybe once every 2 days. It is free so who cares? Those who sit on it all day are strange. There are extremes in everything we can use I guess.
First of I love that movie but face-book is nothing like that. World of Warcraft would compare more to Surrogates because you create a role-playing character that replaces your existence in another world. Facebook doesn't create a new identity, it is just a clever way to e-mail people out side of your email box.

most of the time it's this . . . +1 friend = +1 ego boost
Facebook is just a facade of friendship . . . posting and reading generic messages . . . makes friendship mere voyeurism and exhibitionism.
facebook is good for saving pictures of people you don't like and sending them around when they make you mad.
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.
Facebook is also good for deleting people as friends when you are finished with them.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
no autographs, please!
