For my friend's birthday we went to this bar to hang out. About a week later, one of her friends friended me on facebook and started messaging me. Then he said about hanging out and wanted to see if I wanted to go ice skating (I mentioned liking ice skating at her party). Then he said he'd call me on the weekend to figure out when. And he called when he said he would. We ended up talking for almost an hour and planned to meet later this week to go ice skating. Does this sound like it's a date? Do guys typically do all that if they just want to be friends with a girl?
