Even though I love him and we have some wonderful times, I have been thinking very seriously about ending things with him lately. We have been together for nearly 7 years but I don’t feel as though we see eye to eye any longer. I also love tattoos and would love to get a few more (I have 2 small ones), including one to represent the most important person in my life, my sister, but he is so disapproving of tattoos on women and that has stopped me.

I think he's ignorant and he has all kind of preconceived notions. If he would have had a bad opinion about pole dancing (it's not uncommon), but still cared about what you wanted to do, I think he should have made some "research" about what pole dancing for fitness really is - instead of jumping into conclusion.

Yeah! That’s another thing that drives me crazy. He said “if Julie or Alex (his 2 sisters) did a class then that’d be different” – so his sisters have to take a class for it to somehow be ok for me to??? I don’t get it.
