I’m 46 yrs old and have been very good friends with a girl since we have been 17. We’ve both been married and divorced twice. We have never been romantically involved with each other although it’s been close a few times neither one of us have pursued it. I’m at the point in my life where I want to be with her but I’m afraid of losing such a great friend! We spend one or two days a week with each other, dinner, movies, or just hanging out! How do I get out of the friend zone without freaking her out! Yes she is friends with both of my x's, kinda weird!

If she's 'friendzoned' you, it will be impossible to get out - unless secretly her feelings are mutual for you and she's too shy too come forth.

I'd be straight and tell her how you are feeling.
