i strongly despise women who sue anyone and everyone they can, unless they were sexually harassed. my boss was sued for telling someone at work that she looked good.

Just the once which was today.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
He broke the dr/patient relationship...im not sure it matter why he asked me out...it wasnt for professional reasons.

how did he actually phrase it?

"do you want to grab a bite to eat and drink later" He had been acting flirtatious too.
Again, it doesnt matter to me how he worded it, he should never have asked. Im pretty sure im not going to go back there now, it would be totally awkward (for me at least)

i still think that you need to address it. call him and ask him if he is romantically interested in you and how his comment made you feel.

I don't understand how you can claim to "work in the field" and yet appear utterly oblivious to the nature of the doctor patient relationship.
Your advice to Qwerty has been worse than non-helpful. I can only assume you are being provocative. Otherwise you are indeed a very stupid woman.
Is it burnin'? Well, f-ck, now you're learnin'.
My crazy mother.

i wasn't talking about the legal aspect of it. like I mentioned some women that I know have married their doctors/lawyers, etc. what do you say about that? how is their situation different from qwerty's?
there's always a human side to each story. unfortunately in this day and age people would rather get all riled up and start suing left and right. but what do i know? i am just a moronic stupid woman.

Can you not see that a psychiatrist holds a position of power and trust with his patients? That the patients are often suffering severe distress, if not serious mental illness? Can you not see the problems with the psychiatist using his position of power to attempt to establish a romantic connection with the patients while at the same time attempting to treat them? Can you not see how that position may differ with a dance instructor and his student?
Also Qwerty hasn't breathed a word about suing. She said she may not feel comfortable seeing him anymore - because the trust in the relationship has been broken.
